Walnut Grove invites community to celebrate America’s 250th with free July 3 celebration at the Grove Park

The City of Walnut Grove is inviting families from across Walton County and beyond to gather for an evening of patriotic celebration, live music, family fun, and community spirit during its America 250 Celebration on Friday, July 3, at The Grove Park.

The free event will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. at 1089 Highway 81 in Loganville and celebrates the nation’s 250th anniversary with entertainment and activities for all ages.

A highlight of the evening will be a pair of live performances by local favorites Funky Bluester and 293 Band. Funky Bluester will take the stage at 6 p.m., followed by 293 Band at 7 p.m., providing a soundtrack of crowd-pleasing favorites and high-energy performances throughout the celebration.

In addition to live music, families can enjoy a variety of free attractions, including bounce houses, a rock-climbing wall, a giant inflatable slide, and other activities in the Kids Fun Zone. A patriotic atmosphere and family-friendly entertainment are planned throughout the evening.

Guests can also cheer on participants during the community pie-eating contest, one of the event’s signature attractions.

A variety of food vendors will be on site offering meals, snacks, and desserts for purchase, including Up in Smoke, Margarita Mama Mobile Bar, Dvillas Italian Pizzeria, Spanky’s Boiled Peanuts, Rey’s Cuban Cafe, Southeast Asian Jerky, and Pho Corner GA – Asian Infusion.

Organizers encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs or blankets and spend the evening celebrating America’s 250th birthday with neighbors, friends, and family.

Admission, live entertainment, and all activities are free to the public, making the celebration one of Walton County’s premier Independence Day events.
