Walton County welcomes Diane Baggett, new Public Information Officer/webmaster for the county government. According to a press release, “she will be responsible for publicizing county programs, events, and initiatives and communicating county information and news to the media and the citizens of Walton County. She will also be responsible for increasing the functionality and ease of use of the Walton County website and increasing the county’s social media presence.”
According to Baggett’s bio, she previously served as a PIO for Fulton County Government in the Department of Communications handling community and media relations. Prior to working at Fulton County, she was the director of research and assessment at The Day Foundation, a private philanthropic organization dedicated to improving the lives of children, in Memphis, TN.
Baggett holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/Creative Writing and Psychology from Rhodes College and a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Memphis.
