WCSO Alerts: Stolen vehicle recovered and failure to register as a sex offender arrest

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Community Alerts for Monday, Aug. 28, 2017. Please note and arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

ZONE 1

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence in the area of Thompson Lane in reference to an unknown individual taking several items from complainant’s residence.

Arrest- Richard Carlyle was arrested at a residence on Thompson Lane in reference to an outstanding warrant out of Walton County for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence in the area of Gene Bell Road in reference to an unknown individual(s) shooting air soft pellets through complainants siding on their residence.

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Claude Brewer Road in reference to an unknown white pickup truck in complainant’s driveway. Vehicle was gone prior to deputy’s arrival.

Suspicious/Recovered Vehicle- Deputies responded to residence in the area of Broadnax Drive in reference to an unknown unoccupied blue passenger vehicle parked across the street from complainant’s residence partially in the wooded area. Deputies checked the vehicle, and ran it through the national database and it came back as stolen out of Monroe Police Department. Monroe Police Department was notified and the vehicle was towed from the area.

ZONE 7

Arrest- Johnny Gilbert was arrested at a residence in the area of Church Way for Criminal Trespass and Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.
