WCSO partners with Crime Stoppers

Walton County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with Crime Stoppers, a community program that allows people to provide information about criminal activity anonymously. It operates independent of other emergency numbers or standard methods of contacting law enforcement. This allows a person to provide crime solving assistance to the authorities without being directly involved in the investigation process.

WCSO announced that it has partnered with Crime Stoppers in an effort to better serve citizens and respond to criminal activity in the county. Anyone with information relating to criminal activity can call 404-577-TIPS (8477) and submit a tip. These tips are then reviewed by investigators in WCSO Criminal Investigations Division (CID). Tipsters who provide information that is accurate/fruitful can receive a financial reward through Crime Stoppers. Officials with WCSO say they hope that this new, anonymous outlet will encourage individuals who would otherwise remain silent to come forward and speak up!
