Authorities seek information on slew of armed robberies in Walton County

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported an armed robbery took place at 10:30 p.m. Monday night at the Texaco in Bold Springs. Nobody was injured, but the suspect got away with $500 in cash. This is the second armed robbery reported in the local area in less than a week and the third on in the last two months. The Monroe Police Department reported a similar incident at Auto Zone on May 18 and at O’Reilly Auto Parts in March.

According to the WCSO, the suspect in last night’s armed robbery is described as a black male, about 5’9″, wearing a black hoodie, black pants, sunglasses and yellow gloves. He was armed with a small black hand gun. The description of the suspect is similar to that of the suspect in the Auto Zone armed robbery last week as well as another at O’Reilly Auto Parts in March and yet another in Gwinnett County in December last year.
