BRASELTON, Ga., – Construction activity for the I-85 Widening project will require lane closures next week along the corridor in Gwinnett, Barrow, and Jackson counties.
Beginning Monday night, asphalt paving and bridge construction will necessitate single lane closures along I-85 in both directions from SR 211 in Barrow County to Hamilton Mill Road in Gwinnett County. Work will occur nightly from Monday through Friday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., and Saturday from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday.
Beginning Monday night, bridge construction will necessitate single lane closures along I-85 southbound from SR 53 in Jackson County to SR 211. Work will occur nightly from Monday through Friday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., and Saturday from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday.
Traffic pacing activity will also occur Monday through Saturday night. Pacing activities will take place in both directions between SR 211 and Hamilton Mill Road nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The Spout Springs Road Bridge over I-85 is scheduled to reopen to traffic on Friday, July 19, 2019. Drivers are requested to proceed with caution through the area as work crews may be present.
