Book lauch for Duff’s novel ‘Devil’s Defense’ is scheduled for 2 – 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17
The community is invited to join with local author Lori B Duff as she celebrates the release of her first full-length novel Devil’s Defense. The celebration will take from 2 – 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17 at the Monroe Walton Center for the Arts located at 205 S Broad St. in Monroe.
A limited number of books will be available for sale, and Duff will be on hand to discuss the novel, provide a short reading, and sign everyone’s copies. There is no charge for attendance. Light refreshments and beverages will be provided.
According to Amazon, Devil’s Defense is “a gripping courtroom drama that explores the struggle between morality vs. professional obligation, Devil’s Defense will appeal to fans of female-lead courtroom dramas like The Good Wife.” The book had been recommended for two literary awards even before its official release.
If you know anything about Duff’s writing, you will know it may be her first full-length novel, but it is by no means her first published works. She has published several books, some a compilation of her many blogs and columns she has written over the years, and for which she has won awards. She also published her first “novella” in 2023 that she says she used as a sort of practice for this first full-length novel.
