Highway 138 was shut down near Cannon Farm Road
WALTON COUNTY, GA (Dec. 25, 2024) A home was destroyed by fire and one person displaced due to a house fire on Dec. 25, 2024, according to Walton County Fire Rescue officials.
“At 5:29 pm this afternoon, WCFR and Loganville Fire Department responded to a house fire on Old Hwy 138 in Walnut Grove,” WCFR Assistant Chief Craig League said. “Firefighters arrived and found heavy fire involvement throughout the house.”
League said personnel remained on the scene and Old Hwy 138 was shut down near Cannon Farm Road.
“The home on Old Hwy 138 is going to be a total loss. The fire has displaced one adult occupant,” League said. “Red Cross has been called to provide lodging and other assistance to the victim.”
League said no injuries were reported.
