Red Cross is providing victim assistance

WALTON COUNTY, GA (Sept. 12) – Walton County Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Craig League reports that a house in Lakeshore Drive has been heavily damaged by fire.
According to League, at 6:35 pm today, WCFR and Monroe Fire Department personnel responded to a house fire in the 400 block of Lakeshore Drive.
“Upon arrival firefighters found heavy fire on the front of the house,” League said, adding that all occupants were able to evacuate. “The fire caused extensive damage to the house.”
League said the Red Cross has been called to provide victim assistance. The cause of the fire is under investigation and hasn’t been determined yet.
