WALTON COUNTY, GA (March 16, 2026) – Walton County Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Craig League reported that personnel from WCFR and Monroe Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 900 block of Providence Lane at 12:45 p.m. Monday.
“No one was at home when neighbors noticed smoke and called 911,” League said. “The fire caused major structural damage and smoke damage throughout the house.”
League said the cause of the fire has not been determined, but it is possibly due to severe weather that moved through the area a short time before the 911 call.
