Walton County Fire Rescue reports that Highway 78 west bound is closed at Jim Daws Road east of Monroe, due to a fully involved garbage truck on fire.
Capt. Jeff Allen with WCFR said the fire, which had ignited in the load, was extinguished, but one lane remained closed for cleanup. The vehicle was a garbage truck with Curbside Services, Inc.
