Breaking: Main Street in Jersey was closed early Wednesday due to fire crews battling a house fire

WALTON COUNTY, GA (Dec. 4, 2024) – Walton County Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Craig League reported that Main Street in the City of Jersey was closed early Wednesday morning due to fire apparatus on the scene of a house fire.

League said crews from WCFR and Social Circle Fire Department responded to the scene after the call came in at 5:16 a.m.

“Firefighters arrived to find fire in the wall and attic of the home,” League said. “All occupants were able to evacuate.”

The road was able to be reopened by 7 a.m.
