No injures reported – load is not hazardous
WALTON COUNTY, GA (Aug. 17, 2026) – Walton County Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Craig Leage reported at 4:50 p.m. Monday that WCFR and Social Circle Fire Department personnel were currently on the scene of an overturned semi-truck on East Hightower Trail between Willow Springs Church Road and Hwy 278. The incident has the road shut down.
“There are no injuries reported.” League said. “Small diesel leak is controlled. The load is not hazardous.”
League said Georgia State Patrol is investigating.
