A storage building on Ammons Bridge Road was destroyed by a fire on Saturday afternoon, March 27, 2021. The fire marshal has determined that the fire was accidental.
Monroe Fire Department Battalion Chief Andrew Dykes said that MFD and Walton County Fire Rescue were dispatched to 741 Ammons Bridge Road Saturday for a structure fire.
“Units arrived on scene to find a fully involved storage building in the woods that was beginning to spread into the woods adjacent to the Golfview Subdivision. Crews were able to contain and extinguish the fire with no exposures being damaged,” Dykes said. “The building and contents were a total loss and no injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported.”
