Moderate damage caused to the home

WALTON COUNTY, GA (Aug. 20, 2026) At 4:15 p.m., Walton County Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Craig League reported that WCFR and Monroe Fire Department were on the scene of a house fire in the 3100 block of Kirk Road in the Campton community.
“All occupants are out of the house, the fire has been extinguished,” League said, adding that the fire has caused moderate damage to the home.
“Firefighters are still working at the scene,” League said. “The fire has displaced one adult. The victim is being assisted by family members.”
League said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
