Car show Saturday to benefit paralyzed Gwinnett police officer

On Sept. 1 of this year, Cpl. Michael Duncan, a 12-year veteran of the Gwinnett County Police Department and Marine Corps veteran, was injured in a helicopter crash after helping pursue a fleeing suspect. He was left paralyzed from the waist down, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department. He is currently undergoing treatment through the Shepherd’s Spinal Center and the community, including Duncan’s fellow law enforcement brothers, is rallying to see what can be done to lighten the load for he and his family.

Saturday, there is a Car Show at Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula to benefit Duncan. The entry fee is a donation towards the benefit. All the proceeds raised will go towards helping Duncan in his recovery. The show is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church, which is located at 202 Hebron Church Road in Dacula.
