COVID-19: Georgia death toll at 47 Confirmed cases at 1387; 438 hospitalized

Walton County no longer registering on the list

The death toll in Georgia as a result of CoVID-19  is now at 47, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health and the number of confirmed cases is now 1387 of which 438 are hospitalized. This is the latest update at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. This update is now being given twice a day by the GDPH, at noon and at 7 p.m. each day.

For some reason, Walton County no longer has any cases on the list.

At this time, Georgia is back up to 10th in the United States for the number of confirmed cases and in the sixth place for the number of deaths. It is important that everybody heeds the guidance on how to slow the spread. However, the number of cases reported is directly reflective of the number of tests that are now being done. More than 5,000 tests have been conducted with almost 4,000 of them in commercial laboratories.
