Publix headquarters in Lakeland, Fl. announced that it is designating Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, 7 – 8 a.m., as senior shopping hours for customers age 65 and over. This change in shopping hours will begin Tuesday, March 24, and continue until further notice. Publix Pharmacy will also open at 7 a.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to serve senior shoppers. Publix noted that these procedures are being implemented in light of the CDC’s announcements that people over the age of 65 are at increased risk of complications from the coronavirus.
All other days and for other sectors of the public, Publix will operate under the new hours that were announced to begin on March 18. These hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the general store and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the pharmacy Monday through Saturday and normal pharmacy hours on Sunday.
