Downtown Monroe is inviting the community to give summer a stylish send-off during its “Cheers to Summer!” event on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Visitors are encouraged to shop, sip, and stroll through downtown while supporting local businesses and enjoying one last Saturday of summer sunshine.
As part of the celebration, Scoops Ice Cream, the Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts (MWCA), and Glaze + Gather are teaming up for a special promotion. Guests who paint a pottery piece at Glaze + Gather will receive a free scoop of ice cream from Scoops while supplies last. Pottery pieces are purchased separately and vary in price, so there’s something for a range of budgets.
The event is free and open to the public and offers a fun way to enjoy downtown Monroe before summer comes to a close.
Let’s give summer the send-off it deserves! See less
