Emergency repairs at the SR 316 westbound ramps at I. 85  begin tonight

Press release from Georgia Department of Transportation

DULUTH, Ga., – Tonight work will begin on State Route 316 westbound at Interstate 85 (I-85) to repair the ramp’s driving surface.

Crews will close a single lane from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Saturday morning. This will allow the outside shoulder of the SR 316 ramp to be readied to carry traffic in the following weeks for additional work.

Work hours for the next month will have no time restrictions. Contractors will move from one side of the ramp to the other to get the repairs completed in the safest most efficient way possible.

The speed limits will be reduced to 45 miles per hour through the work zone and drivers are reminded to slow down and watch for our workers.

This work will repair the driving surface on the State Route 316 westbound ramps at I-85 and has an estimated completion date of  March 15.
