Food and warmth available for Gwinnett County residents in need

Gwinnett County is opening five warming stations for residents to receive temporary, overnight relief from long-term exposure to frigid temperatures. These stations will be open from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. on nights when temperatures fall to 35 degrees or below. It is likely to get close this weekend with temperatures dropping to 36 and below from Thursday.

Residents will have access to a warm place to rest and a meal.

Also, from 3 p.m. until supplies last on Dec. 10 at Rock Springs Park in Lawrenceville and Dec. 17 at Bryson Park in Lilburn, residents can pick up fresh and shelf-stable foods at Rock Springs Park in Lawrenceville and December 17 at Bryson Park in Lilburn.
