Walton Empowers seeks panelists to participate
The Georgia Recovers in Communities Bus Tour will make a policy stop in Monroe on Friday, Sept. 18, with a community discussion focused on strengthening recovery, expanding access to behavioral health care, and building healthier communities.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, with the Monroe location to be announced.
The discussion is open to individuals in recovery, family members, healthcare and behavioral health professionals, first responders, community leaders, elected officials, and anyone interested in supporting recovery efforts.
Organizers are also seeking panelists with experience or interest in recovery, behavioral health, advocacy, public policy, or community collaboration. Those interested in serving on the panel can contact Executive Director Courtney Wright for more information.
“If you or someone you know has a passion for recovery, behavioral health, advocacy, public policy, or community collaboration and would be interested in serving as a panelist, we’d love to hear from you,” Wright said.
The event aims to encourage meaningful conversations, reduce stigma surrounding recovery, and strengthen community support for those impacted by substance use and behavioral health challenges.
