What do you want to be when you grow up? It is a question most young people get as they shape their aspirations. But what if you have a compelling dream that is stopped by people important in your life? This is the gripping question behind Inside the Mirror.
Georgia Writers Museum is excited to announce that award-winning author, Parul Kapur, will be the Meet the Author presenter at the museum on Tuesday, March 3rd, at 7:00pm (doors open at 6:30pm). She will be presenting Inside the Mirror, a book that has received raving reviews from the literary world. This special event will feature a themed gourmet dinner by Chef Brent. Tickets are $45 ($40 each for two or more) and will be followed by a book signing.
Parul Kapur
Parul Kapur’s novel, Inside the Mirror, won the Pattis Family Foundation Creative Arts Book Award and the AWP Prize for the Novel, and was longlisted for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize and the New American Voices Award. Parul was named 2025 Georgia Author of the Year for First Novel. She has written for The New Yorker, Newsday, The Wall Street Journal Europe, Esquire, Art in America, Slate, and The Paris Review. Parul was born in Assam, India, and grew up in Connecticut. She holds an MFA from Columbia University and lives in Atlanta with her family.
