New K9 successfully locates suspect in her first deployment
(Lawrenceville, Ga., Nov 15, 2024) – The Gwinnett County Police Department is preparing to add another K9 into service to help serve the community.
K9 Ravyn is a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois who will work with Ofc. Philipp Halladay. She is in the last few days of her field training but is already certified to deploy on calls. On her very first deployment on Nov. 15, she successfully located her first suspect.
The addition of K9 Ravyn brings the total number of officers in the K9 Unit to nine, excluding those assigned to our SWAT Unit, HDU, and investigation sections.
