Beginning Tuesday, November 12, 2024 there will be a traffic movement change on HD Atha Road between Oscar Barton Road and Youth Monroe Road. All traffic will be directed to Sardis Church Road.
The Intersection Realignment Project at Sardis Church Road and Youth Monroe Road will be complete and open for traffic on Tuesday as well.
Walton County Public Works reports that it has worked hard to complete this section of road to make it safer for all to drive on and asks that drivers be patient with the road crews while the project is continuing, there may be delays in traffic.
The County is working with the Georgia Department of Transportation to put a light at the Youth Monroe Road and Highway 78 intersection. As this is a state route, the light has to be installed by GDOT. This will be the final part of this project and the designs for the intersection have been finalized.
