Heat Advisory: Walton County Parks and Recs cancels outdoor afternoon games due to heat

WALTON COUNTY, GA (Aug. 17, 2026) Due to the area being under a Heat Advisory, Walton County Parks and Recreation advised that all its outdoor activities scheduled for today, August 17th , are postponed.

“This includes practices that are held off-site. Volleyball games are still on as scheduled. All updates on the rescheduling of games will be relayed to coaches later,” Walton County Parks and Recreation noted in the advisory. “Thank you for your understanding, and please stay safe, hydrated and cool!”
