Keep Walton Beautiful receives Rivers Alive 2017 Keep Georgia Beautiful Award

 Keep Walton Beautiful was selected by the Georgia Department of National Resources Environmental Protection Division as the 2017 Keep Georgia Beautiful Award winner. The award was presented to Keep Walton Beautiful Executive Director Kenny Sargent and Keep Walton Beautiful Administrative Assistant Judith Gordy on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at the Rivers Alive annual awards ceremony in Atlanta. The award was given in recognition of Keep Walton Beautiful’s outstanding efforts on its 2017 Rivers Alive event during which 302 volunteers donated 900 volunteer hours of work and collected 2,120 pounds of trash from local waterways and adjacent areas.
