Loganville’s win Thursday has them headed to state baseball finals

After beating Starr’s Mill in the third game of the semi finals Thursday, the Loganville Red Devils are headed for a shot at the state title in the 2017 Georgia High School Baseball state Championship. After losing the first game Wednesday 0-1 and winning the second one 1-3, Loganville came back strong on Thursday, beating the Panthers 3-9 to earn themselves a place in the finals next week.

According to the Georgia High School Association, the Loganville Red Devils will take on the Wayne County Yellow Jackets in the finals at Grayson Stadium, Home of the Savannah Bananas in Savannah, Ga. The first of two games will begin at 5 p.m. A third game, if required, will be played on Saturday, that location still to be announced. For anyone interested in a road trip to support the team, Grayson Stadium is located at 1401 E. Victory Dr. in Savannah.
