Monroe Downtown is hosting the inaugural Farm to Table Dinner Experience downtown on Saturday, April 29, 2017. Tickets are available for purchase, but you need to hurry. Sale of tickets closes at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. The cost is $50 each and this outdoor experience will take place on Court Street with live music, a silent auction, a cash bar and a dinner menu prepared with produce from local farmers.
Here is a copy of the dinner menu to whet your appetite.
Goat cheese topped arugula salad with Pomegranate Vinaigrette
Honey Ginger Pork tenderloin
Herb roasted tri-colored carrots
Company cabbage
Grilled Chicken/kebabs
English peas with Bacon and creme fraiche

The evening will include live music by local talent Chuck Wysocki who reportedly plays “a little of everything,” with a fondness for songs about “life, beauty, heartache, nature, women, family, drinking, good friends and an occasional spiritual.” He’s been a vocalist/guitarist in bluegrass, country, folk and classic rock bands in the South and Midwest.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Monroe Farmers Market, which begins May 13 and continues until Oct. 14, 2017.
