Monroe PD Reports: Alleged threats after woman shoots dog for attacking her dog

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between May 4 – 11, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an  arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute, N. Broad St.  Subject disputing over change.  Complainant was gone when officers arrived.
  • Harassing phone calls report taken at Monroe PD lobby, complainant concerned due to an unknown caller by the name given accidentally contacted her.
  • Warrant, Deer Acres Inn,   Camica Vinson said to be on location with warrants.  She answered the door but had two small juveniles with no one to take care of them.  Gwinnett was contacted and advised she had till Monday to handle the issue.  All 10-4.
  • Harassing phone calls taken at Monroe PD lobby, complainant advised male subject will not leave her residence and text her saying things will change.  She was advised of remedies.
  • Follow up at Monroe PD.  Complainant advised juveniles were harassing and hitting her granddaughter on the school bus.  Requested documentation.
  • Dispute at Walmart;  Comp advised that Walmart would not return her television because her kids knocked it off the table, comp advised it was a civil issue and nothing could be done.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Walmart W. Spring Street; Comp advised a group of people were talking about buying Potassium Nitrate and shotgun shells.  Blue Isuzu, Subjects were gone when officers arrived.
  • Juvenile Complaint, S. Broad Street; not juvenile, mother from Elberton on location to pick up her juvenile (18) turned over to mother from earlier call on dayshift, all 10-4.
  • Domestic problem, E. Marable Street; Comp advised hearing a verbal argument in area near the Hot Spot. Unable to locate where the arguing was coming from.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Highland Creek Drive; Subjects parked in Land rover, subjects were smoking cigarettes didn’t want parents to find out, sent home.
  • Domestic problem, Monroe Motor Inn; complainant had  problem with his room, thought toxic gas was going to kill him, room checked, odor present but nothing worth going to the hospital over, civil matter.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, E. Church Street;  comp advised a Silver Nissan Altima pulled into the driveway and then left, possibly intoxicated, Negative contact with vehicle, gone when officers arrived.
  • 38-D (drugs) at E. Tall Oaks; pizza delivery guy smelled the odor of marijuana at residence; residence checked all 10-4.
  • Law Enforcement Assist at Waffle House Highway 78; female passed out behind the wheel of her car, Lakenya Worrell was arrested for driving under the influence after field sobriety tests and admission to driving.
  • Entering Auto, Hampton Drive; Complainant’s vehicle entered, declined report, two juveniles found in the area, chase on foot, ran from Officers, area checked, lost subjects.
  • Domestic Dispute, Cedar Lane, Married couple were verbally disputing. Parties were separated.
  • Domestic Dispute, Tanglewood Dr., Male and female subjects were verbally disputing. Parties were separated.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Wendy’s, Reference to a vehicle circling the parking lot. Officer made contact and everything was fine.
  • Warrant Service, Tanglewood Dr., Curtis Lee arrested for two outstanding warrants through Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Suspicious Person at Golden Pantry, Reference subjects in the parking lot for over an hour. The subjects were advised of the Loitering Law and sent on their way.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Baron Dr., Reference subjects on dirt bikes. Officer made contact and advised subjects to stay off the roadway.
  • Suspicious person East Church St., Reference a white male on location asking people for money. Officers made contact with male and served him with a prohibited

  • Theft at East Church St., Reference someone breaking into the coke machine. Possible suspects are identified.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Pinecrest Dr., Reference to an unknown truck on location. The truck was checked and logged through Walton County Communications.
  • Dispute at Marable Lane, Complainant advised subject threatened to kill her after she shot his dog for attacking her dog. The threats were not recorded or witnessed.
