Monroe PD Reports: Animal cruelty complaints; property line dispute and sexual assaults

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between July 6 – 13, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Warrant Served, David Gray was located during area check of Davis St and was arrested for Monroe City Warrant.
  • Damage to property, Michael Etichson Road, ref to an electrical socket installation that was smoking. The smoke was coming from a burn barrel located behind this residence. All ok
  • Domestic dispute, report taken at MPD lobby, complainant advised that his fiancé will not let him get his belonging so he can move back to Texas.  He was advised to call police when he returns to get his belongings and she refuses to let him get his things.
  • Domestic dispute, Carver Pl., complainant and Madison Isenhour were disputing, Madison was arrested for Battery FV
  • Dispute, Tanglewood Dr., complainant wanted to know what to do when her husband’s child’s mother show up at her residence threatening to fight her. Advised of remedies.
  • Animal call, W Marable St., Animal Control on scene and female resident became hostile. Arrived on scene to see 4 dogs not being cared for and very mangy. They have a total of 6 dogs. Female said dogs belong to her son. Female showed a spray bottle where they have been trying to treat the dogs. Advised female to inform her son to have the dogs seen by a vet and I would return tomorrow afternoon to see if they took them to the vet.
  • Dispute, W Spring St., complainant disputing with staff over paycheck. She was advised of the civil process.
  • Fraud Report, Marathon South Broad reference male subject cashing 23 separate checks over approximately a month.
  • Metro PCS in reference to dispute over employee being fired and not wanting to turn over keys Met with store manager, keys were retrieved all ok.
  • Theft report taken at MPD lobby, complainant advised that he traded with a subject who lives out in the County to work on his motorcycle a while back, and the subject has since sold said motorcycle.  He was referred to the WCSO.
  • Dispute, E Spring St. ref to female subject refusing to leave. She was there to retrieve property. Property was obtained. She was sent on her way.
  • Animal call, W Marable St, WCAC seized six dogs from residence due to neglect. Warrants to be taken on owner for Cruelty to Animals x 6.
  • Follow up, E Church St., complainant had a possible location of a TV stolen from this location. officers arrived at  Pine Park St. and located a Samsung TV later identified by the victim as hers, due to the suspect being her cousin, she does not wish to pursue the case any further.
  • Domestic problem, Green St., met with male and female subjects, verbal only over relationship neither party wanted to leave no signs of violence situation mediated. Report taken
  • Arrest, South east corrections Tiffany Avery  Probation violation transported to Walton county jail without incident
  • Area check, Conestoga MHP ref to female subject being seen in the area of lot # she has bond conditions to stay away from and its occupants.  She was not found to be in violation of her bond conditions.
  • Officer called to WCSO in regards to Christopher Yarborough wanted to know about his dogs that Animal Control took earlier this date. Yarborough was arrested due to warrants being taken for Cruelty to Animals (6 counts). Yarborough escorted to MPD for fingerprinting and then escorted to WCSO.
  • Dispute, Heritage Ridge Crt.. in regards to Complainant having issues with neighbor about property lines when cutting grass. Situation was mediated
  • Animal complaint, S. Madison Ave. in regards to German Shepard being chained up outside. Contact made w/ owner and he advised he has not fed or watered dog in days. Spoke w/ Animal Control about removing the dog and they advised they will follow up Monday.
  • Dispute, McDaniel St., male subject was on location of ex-girlfriend’s residence and would not leave. Officers got out w/male subject on McDaniel St. due to leaving prior to arrival and advised to stay away from residence. Contact made w/ex-girlfriend and advised of civil remedies. All ok,, no violence.
  • Theft, Tanglewood Ln. in regards to theft of motion lights. Complainant stated unknown party stole the motion flood lights from the front and back yard of her residence. Report taken
  • Officer stopped vehicle on Hwy 138 and W. Spring St. on a 2005 Dodge Magnum driven by Female subject. Upon further investigation, it was determined the vehicle had a concealed vin, 2 different tags that returned to 2 different vehicles. It was also determined the vin was concealed by the dealer who sold the vehicle. Officer will be doing a report and attempt to find the police department with jurisdiction over the area of dealership (American Auto Plaza) in Texas. Subject was allowed to drive vehicle away but advised not to drive again until vin and tag taken care of.
  • Harassment, Green St., complainant stated people are harassing her by dropping litter in the roadway in front of her residence. The litter was on opposite side of roadway from her residence and she had no idea who did it. Complainant advised that is not harassment and to stop calling police for non-emergency calls without any evidence.
  • Harassment, Walmart, customer didn’t like that Walmart asked to see his receipt upon purchase and demanded a report to get video so he could sue Walmart. Misc. report taken, no criminal activity
  • EMS assist, Lakeview Dr. in regards to female being attacked by a cat because she tried to break up an animal fight. Female escorted to Clearview for treatment.
  • EMS, Fuzions in regards to 16 YOA female having seizure. Transport was refused and parents transported juvenile home.
  • Area check, Golden Pantry in regards to large crowd on scene. All ok, crowd dispersed when units arrived.
  • Fight call, GW Carver Homes. Large crowd of juveniles fighting over incident that took place @ Fuzions earlier in evening at Sweet 16 birthday party. One report of injury that was at Clearview and contact made w/female patient. Female did not want to talk w/ police and only stated: other girls were mad because she looked good and other girls didn’t”. Report declined.
  • Threats, Lake View Dr. in regards to complainant stating named female made threats to her. No actual threats were made, female was just rude. No crime committed.
  • Domestic problem, Wheelhouse Ln. in regards to complainant needing help getting property from residence of ex-boyfriend, All ok, no violence or dispute.
  • Domestic problem, Golden Pantry. Event took place on Custom Way. Complainant stated named female subject hit him in hand w/ a broom and there was signs of injury. Could not confirm stories and they did conflict. Report taken
  • Dispute, Heritage Ridge Dr. in regards to Uber driver stated he picked up a W/M name given at a bar in Snellville and drove him home. Male passenger passed out in rear of vehicle and after multiple attempts at waking him up, Passenger did not want to get out of the car and became upset because he wanted to go someplace else. Uber driver said everything was OK and just wanted to go home.
  • EMS assist, Conestoga, in regards to Male subject having chest pains. Signs of meth were apparent but only admitted to having a beer. Subject did not want police to help, EMS transported to Clearview.
  • Suspicious persons, Woodland Rd. in regards to unknown subjects walking in area and talking loud. Area check with negative contact.
  • 38 D (drugs) call, West Spring St. The complainant wish to remain anonymous but believes there is someone smoking or selling meth which has caused them to fall ill, The suspicious activity according to the complainant is on Birch Street.
  • Domestic dispute, Lake View Dr., Two subjects verbally disputing. Female got mad and started throwing plates on the ground. Situation mediated.
  • DTP, Tall Oaks Dr., complainant said once he returned home this morning from Walmart he noticed scratches all over his car that were not there this morning when he was at Taylor’s. Report taken.
  • Trouble unknown, Mlk Jr Blvd ref to a b/m unconscious behind the wheel of a Green Mountaineer with no tag. Caller advised that the vehicle was 10-49 in the area of Michael Etchinsin, then doubled back to the Marathon. Contact made with Johnny Giles (gave the name of Jarvis Giles). He was arrested for disorderly conduct, license not on person and expired tag.
  • Officer’s called to Lake View Dr., female stated she hid her pills (Kolatopin) last night, and now cannot locate them. Stated a “Big John” may have them. Did not advise how he could have obtained them.
  • Dispute, S. Hammond Dr. reference community service worker Un happy with having to stay and work for eight hours. Mother arrived on scene and stated her son was being racially profiled because he was black. Mother got upset when told her that was ridiculous and started to become disorderly. All parties were told to take the issue up with the court.
  • Subject with Firearm call, Sorrels St/Cook St community event occurring at the old school and retired Parole Officer said he located an air soft gun that resembles a real gun. He confiscated it. He said another boy had a real like air soft gun and he sent him home. Gun placed into evidence.
  • Domestic dispute, Tanglewood Dr. dispute between 16 year old and 21 year old brother over batteries, short physical altercation not enough for family violence battery report taken situation mediated.
  • Juvenile complaint near 2nd St. and S. Broad St. in regards to anonymous caller stating 10 YOA juvenile riding motorcycle in roadway.  area w/negative contact
  • Gunshot heard, W. Creek Circle. Anonymous caller advised they heard 1 gunshot in the area. Received only 1 call about the noise, Checked area w/negative contact.
  • Dispute, Storehouse Ct. in regards to mother stated her son was hanging out with his girlfriend and another male named “Stoner”. Mother made allegation that the other wrote on her walls with a dry erase marker and wanted to press charges. No person could provide verifiable info on when it happened or who did the damage. Report taken
  • Juvenile complaint, W. Vine St. (Conestoga MHP) in regards to complainant calling police because she was worried about her neighbors kids playing in the water next door and there could be dangerous stuff near where they were playing. Complainant was advised it’s not illegal for kids to play in water and if she feels kids are in danger, call DFACS. Mother of kids advised to make sure kids play carefully. All ok.
  • Wanted person pick up, Gwinnet County Jail. Bryant Ware arrested and transported to Walton County Jail for failure to appear without incident.
  • Sexual assault, Sorrell St. Two female juveniles sexually assaulted. CID was notified and made aware of incident. See report for further details and detective will be doing a follow up.
  • Civil issue, Conestoga MHP, in regards to complainant moving out and ex-boyfriend had her 1997 blue Ford Ranger and would not return it. Boyfriend had active warrants and no contact was made but truck was located in Walmart parking lot and returned to complainant. All ok.
