Monroe PD Reports: Dispute over heat, vehicle fire and gunshots heard

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between May 4 – 11, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an  arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Vehicle fire in the area of Zaxby’s.  Driver arrested for no license and warrants.
  • Harassment at S. Broad St.  Complainant advised her neighbor is always watching her.  She was advised of remedies.
  • Threats at Lacy St.  Complainant advised male came to the residence early this date and tried to make entry.  Female and 10-year-old daughter hear threats to kill everyone inside.  WTBT for Terroristic Threats and Disorderly conduct.
  • Threats at S. Hammond Dr.  Complainant advised that his step-son had been making threats to harm him.  Advised of remedies.
  • Entering auto at Morrow Street.  Complainant advised an unknown subject entered his Lincoln Town car and removed a Jimenez 9mm pistol from the trunk.  Pistol was entered on GCIC.
  • Dispute at Davis Street.  Complainant obtained TPO against male this date.  TPO has not been served.
  • Suspicious person at S. Broad Street.  Negative contact with the subject.
  • Harassment at Etten Drive.  Complainant advised a subject that lives in her residence has been acting out.  She was advised of the civil process.
  • Burglary attempt at Magnolia Terr.  Complainant advised someone tried to make entry into her back door causing damage.
  • Dispute at Knight Street.  Subject advised two females showed up looking for money.  She was advised of remedies.
  • Unknown problem @ Lacy Street.  Reference to female in the road unconscious.  Female was located @ Pine Park St.  Turned over to EMS.
  • Suspicious vehicle in the area of Highway 78E.  Log truck changing lanes excessively.  Negative contact.
  • Counterfeit at Quality Foods.  Female used a $10 bill she received at Church’s Chicken.  Bill was collected for evidence.
  • Damage to property 2050 West Spring Street, Wal-Mart. Complainant noticed damage to his vehicle parked near the store.
  • EMS assist Perry Street. Female unresponsive. EMS on scene on officer arrival and female was awake, alert and responsive.
  • Suspicious person Bulldog Drive., GWA. Ref to B/m walking in the area. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Animal complaint 2050 West Spring Street, Wal-Mart. Dog locked in car. Call canceled by Animal Control prior to officer arrival.
  • Theft report West Vine Street, Monroe Landscaping. Complainant advised multiple landscaping tool stolen.
  • Suspicious vehicle in the area of East Church and Barron Dr. Ref to two motorcycles speeding in the area. Motorcycles fled area upon seeing officer’s vehicle. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Traffic stop East Church Street and Barron Drive. Felicia Smith arrested for driving on a suspended license and headlight requirements.
  • Dispute Ridge Rd. Complainant stated male damaged her front door and vehicle before leaving the scene. Warrants to be taken.
  • Disturbing the peace East 5th St. Ref to neighbor cutting grass, all ok.
  • Juvenile complaint Roosevelt Street and Hill Street. 17 year old advised he left his home in Atlanta to run away and wanted to know how to get back home. Not a missing person/no runaway complaint filed. Advised to find a ride.
  • Irate patient at West Spring Street., Clearview Medical. Medical form signed and patient who was refusing treatment. Subject transported to Summit Ridge by Pro-Care.
  • Wanted person ready for pick up, Athens-Clarke County jail. Christopher Mcquaig served probation warrant, transported to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Civil issue Norris St. Comp had questions about eviction process, all ok.
  • Welfare check, West Spring St, Clearview Medical. Hospital staff called because a parent pulled their child out of the hospital because they were unsatisfied with service. Gone when officers arrived towards Egleston Children’s. Call cleared and advised county.
  • Dispute Mill Stone Bluff. Verbal argument between subjects all ok.
  • Other law Walker Dr. Comp had questions about returning home to Gwinnett county with unregistered vehicle after receiving a ticket.
  • Loud noise complaint Hubbard Street male subject, was in the parking lot of his business doing burnouts was advised if he did them in the street we would be cited, all ok.
  • Suspicious person in the area of South Broad Street and the Chevron. Female in the clothing donation box, sent on her way, all ok.
  • Missing person Victory Dr. Mother advised her daughter hasn’t come home yet. Daughter returned home while officer was on location, all ok.
  • Stokes Street. Complainant advised someone in the woods behind her house. Checked area with negative contact.
  • Wanted person ready for pick up in Jackson county. Edmon Hendricks transported from JCSO to WCSO.
  • 2050 West Spring St., Wal-Mart. Subject in red shorts and no shirt yelling in the doorway. Subject gone when officers arrived.
  • Dispute at Reed Way, female disputing with neighbor and threatened to kill her.  Subject off meds for 2 days.  No weapons involved.  Cited for DOC and served with prohibited entry for Reed Way.
  • Damage to property at Ash St.  Reference to broken windows.
  • Dispute at Gliding Lane.  Reference to K9 being left in vehicle.  All ok.
  • Dispute over found cell phone at Chevron on S. Broad St.  Owner of the phone returned to retrieve phone.  All ok.  Female also reported later that her EBT card was missing.
  • Wanted person at Al’s Discount Tire.  Keith Smith was arrested.
  • Dispute at Knight Street.  Subjects disputing over who was allowed to be on location.  Parties separated.  All ok.
  • Threats information taken at Monroe PD.  Complainant wanted to make a report in regards to threats made on Facebook Live.  Ongoing issue and involved a fight earlier this month at MAHS.
  • Harassing phone calls at S. Broad St.  Complainant advised a female is harassing him via text message.  He was advised of remedies.
  • Dispute at Haven Inn.  Subjects refusing to leave.  Subjects advised as soon as their ride arrived they would leave.  All ok.
  • Theft report taken at Monroe PD.  Reference to earlier call at Chevron.  Requesting report at this time.
  • Wanted persons at Alcovy St.  Clifton Williams and Michael Malcom were arrested and transported to WCSO.
  • Loitering at Haven Inn.  Subjects still on location waiting for a ride.  Subjects finally got a ride and took all their belongings and left.
  • Damage to property at Papa John’s.  Tractor trailer backed into awning.
  • Discharging firearms in the area of George Walton Academy.  Negative contact.
  • Suspicious vehicle in the area of Hwy78E.  Vehicle turned on Unisia Dr.
  • Dispute in the area of Walker Dr.  Subject arguing over the heat.  Situation mediated.  All ok.
