Monroe PD Reports: Domestic disputes dominate, juvenile runs off after pulling air soft gun

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between May 12 – 25, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into six parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Counterfeit taken in at Monroe PD., complainant advised he tried to purchase food at Burger King and was told his $5 bill was fake.  Money placed into evidence.
  • Harassing phone calls report taken at Monroe PD., complainant was contacted at MAHS by Meridian group about fake accounts and wanted personal information.
  • Suspicious person on Wellington Drive in reference to an unknown white male and black female soliciting in the area. Area checked for the subjects with negative contact.
  • Sexual Assault report at Monroe PD.  Incident occurred a year ago on Davis St.  Suspect was named.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Magnolia Terrace Caller advised dirt bikes in the roadway.  Checked the area with negative contact with dirt bikes.
  • Traffic Violation at West Spring Street / Hwy 138.  Caller advised a white pickup truck with GA tag # given was driving reckless and had a male in the bed of the truck.  Area was checked with negative contact with the vehicle.
  • Flagged down at Southside Mobile Home Park in reference to complainant stating named male subject is stealing items at night from Universal-Rundell at night. As well from his property at South Broad St.  Complainant declined a report being filed.
  • Loitering at 2025 West Spring Street (McDonalds) in reference to a group of kids loitering in the parking lot area and Tractor Supply Parking lot.  Group was found and sent on their way.
  • Harassment, West Spring St. (Little Caesers) in reference to complainant seeing her ex-boyfriend  new girlfriend driving around the parking lot.  Complainant believed that the new girlfriend was attempting to get her to come out into the parking lot to fight her.  New girlfriend was gone upon my arrival.  Advised her of solution for the situation.
  • Animal Complaint on Colquitt Street in reference to a pit-bull in the area that began to chase after male subject.  She advised the dog is usually kept in a pen.  No contact with dog or the owner.
  • Juvenile Comp on 3rd St. in reference to the mother advised that a named juvenile slapped her son on the back.  Contact was made with juvenile and her mom.  They stated that other juvenile kicked the accused juvenile and she did slap him on the back.  Both parties advised to keep their kids away from each other if they could not play together.
  • Shoplifting at West Spring Street (Quality Foods) in reference to male subject placing items in his pockets.  The manager stopped the male subject at the check out to reclaim the items.  Male subject stated he was going to pay for the items.  Male subject paid for the items and now has a life time ban from Quality Foods.
  • Dispute at Magnolia St. in reference to two subjects in a verbal dispute over pizza.  One subject stated the other subject then threw his shirt in the mud.
  • Traffic Stop at Tanglewood Drive / Tanglewood Lane Reference to a Donovan Peters was pulled over for failure to maintain lane.  Driver was then arrested for DUI less safe, failure to maintain lane, no insurance, and suspended tag.
  • Dispute at South Broad Street (Chevron) male subject was in the bathroom drinking a beer from the store.  Arrest for Shoplifting.
  • Dispute at West Spring Street (Clearview) in reference to a patient walking around the ER and being disruptive.  Situation mediated.
  • Traffic Stop at South Madison Ave/ South Broad Street.  Vehicle almost struck officer head on.  Driver Timothy Allen refused blood test and was arrested for DUI and Failure to maintain lane.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on East Church Street.  The caller advised a black trailblazer had been sitting in the parking lot for over an hour and it was time to close the store.  Made contact with driver. He was on the phone and did not want to disturb his parents with noise due to medical issues.  Sent on his way.
  • Suspicious Person Turner St., Ref: black male knocking on the complainant’s door.  Subject ran off upon officer’s arrival.  Negative contact.
  • Dispute @ Mayfield Drive / Peachstate Disposal, Dispute over employees over property.  All OK.
  • Threats at E. Washington St., Complainant stated that female has been bullying her and trying to fight her over an incident that occurred between their kids.
  • Warrant service on Spruce Lane, Joshua Harden possibly on location.  Harden was arrested for Robbery, Family Violence Battery and 911 interference warrants.
  • Warrant service on Reed Way, Demartray Eberhart arrested for Armed Robbery warrant out of Oconee County.  Turned over to Oconee County SO at Striplings on 78.
  • EMS assist at Pine Circle, Dispatch advised that it sounded like a dispute on the open line.  Negative contact with a dispute.  70 YOA male fell.  All OK. Turned over to EMS
  • Shoplifting at Family Dollar, Employees suspected that a female stole fingernails.  Consent to search vehicle and person with negative results.
  • Civil Issue at E. Spring Street / Taylor’s, Female on location wanting to retrieve items out of her vehicle.  Civil issue mediated.  All OK.
  • Animal issue at Our Family Health Center E. Spring St., Complainant advised that a fox nipped at an employee’s hand.  Checked the area with negative contact.
  • Suspicious subject on Douglas St., Ref: white male on location at a vacant trailer.  Subject was doing repairs on mobile home.  All OK.
  • Warrant service N. Broad St., Taylor Mcelwaney arrested for Walton County warrant.
  • Threats at Dairy Queen, Owner advised someone called and threatened him over a wrong order.  Customer arrived back in scene and had her cheeseburger remade.  All OK.
  • Runaway juvenile Sporty Lane, 15 years old left the area on foot after a dispute with parents.  Mother declined a report and wanted to give her daughter time to cool down and return home.
  • Dispute at Taylor’s towing / E. Spring St., Ongoing issue with customer.  Customer paid their bill and retrieved their property.  All OK.
  • Civil issue Douglas St., Complainant advised that subjects were being evicted and were throwing items out of the residence.  She wanted to make sure they weren’t damaging the property.  All OK.
  • Dispute Reed Way, Called in 3rd party.  Complainant advised that the neighbors were arguing. Husband and wife involved in a verbal dispute. Wife was given a ride to Clearview for mental evaluation.
  • Juvenile Complaint a S. Madison and E. 5th St., Male pulled an air soft gun on complainant.  Bystander took the gun from the juvenile and juvenile ran off.  Gun placed into evidence.
  • Dispute at W. Spring Street / Signature Nail, Ref: two black females on location being disruptive and refusing to pay for services. Subjects were gone when officers arrived.
  • Suspicious Person in the area of Ridgeview Hospital.  Complainant stated black male was walking around the hospital.   Made contact with male.  White male taking a walk instead of fighting with wife.  Given a ride back home.
  • Suspicious Person. Owner did not want male at his store anymore.  Given ride home to Bridgeport Place.
  • Juvenile Complaint at Sporty Lane.  Juvenile ran off earlier in the day but has returned.  No initial report made and mother, wanted to advised police she had returned.
  • Fraud at Walgreens a subject called in a fraudulent prescription.  Will call if the subject shows up tonight.
  • Traffic Stop.  Male pulled over for driving on suspended license.  Fingerprinted and released on copy
  • Complainant noticed front window broken.   People in the house heard it break.  Does not appear to be on purpose.
  • Domestic at Storehouse Court in reference to a physical fight.  Subject had warrants for his arrest but was not on scene. Additional warrants to be taken.
  • Welfare Check at West Marable and Nowell Street.  In reference to a female out walking around the cemetery possible on drugs.  Negative contact with the female.
  • Domestic at South Madison Ave.  Subjects in a verbal argument over not cleaning dog mess and disrespecting her.  Subject left prior to police arrival.  Advised of eviction process.
  • Wanted Person at Jack Peters store in reference to Maximillian White on location from earlier domestic he was involved in on location.  White had warrants for his arrest.  White was tased while resisting arrest.
