Monroe PD Reports: Missing person located at hospital in Athens

Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb. 9 – 15, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Meet with Officer at MPD, S Broad St., complainant wanted to meet with officer due to an incident that occurred last date. She advised that she did not want to pursue any charges on her husband. She was advised in matters of Family Violence that the state takes over. She advised she would speak to the DA Monday morning.
  • Missing Person, Mobley Cir. Male subject has not been seen since 1350 hours. He was last seen wearing blue jeans with brown boots. He wears glasses and has a medium length beard. Approximately 5/7 130lbs. Subject was added on GCIC as a missing person
  • Dispute, W. Fambrough St., advised a group of folks on scene verbally arguing and some folks had knives.  Subjects arguing over a boy from months ago.  Two subjects cited for disorderly conduct
  • 911 Hang up, E Sorrells St., reference to complainant calling because her ex-boyfriend was on location disputing with her. Ex-boyfriend was Goa and complainant was advised of the TPO process.
  • Shoplifting) Walmart, Rickey Brown arrested for shoplifting $549.94 worth of merchandise from Walmart.
  • Follow Up, Mobley Cir., Officer met with family to get further information on missing person. Obtained the license plate number off his vehicle and was placed onto GCIC. MPD would later learn that subject was at Athens Regional.  He was ok, subject and his vehicle was removed from GCIC.
  • EMS Assist, Haven Inn, called in by Benchmark, subject was having suicidal thoughts and was transported by EMS to Clearview for mental evaluation.
  • Welfare check, Baker St., Walton Village ref to a third-party call of an elderly female wondering around the area that appeared to be confused.  Foot patrol completed of the complex with no contact.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, North Broad St/East Marable St., noticed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road occupied with four people. Made contact with the driver Joe Vicent, who had an active warrant for his arrest. Also detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. upon searching said vehicle drug paraphernalia and a hand gun was located. Joe Vicent was charged with, drug related object and possession of a fire arm by convicted felon.
  • Traffic Stop, South Broad St./Vine St., LPR hit on a vehicle for no Insurance and a suspended tag. Driver was issued a citation for both violations and the vehicle towed by towing company.
  • Suspicious Person, Booth Dr., complainant called stated someone was knocking on her door. Made contact with subject who advised he was trying to find his friend’s house.
  • Suspicious Person, Walton Rd., anonymous complainant advised a female was in the road yelling. Upon arrival Mary Derubies was high on Methamphetamine and drunk. She was cited and transported by EMS to Clearview.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring St., the manager called 911 because Brooklyn Hicks was on location and she had been barred. Ms. Hicks was arrested for criminal trespass and released on copy of citation.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, South Madison Ave., reference to a dark colored vehicle on location.  Made contact with the vehicle and occupant. Occupant was waiting on business to open.  All ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Hubbard St., Complainant stating an unknown vehicle pulled into the parking lot of the shop. Person identified as owner of the shop and his son prior to officer arrival. All was okay.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Bell Meade Rd., reference to a silver passenger car in complainants back driveway – left headed towards Alcovy Street. Located vehicle on Ammons Bridge Road. Vehicle was a gold Honda Accord unoccupied and unsecure with flashers on. Vehicle was off roadway and red tagged.
  • 911 Hang Up/EMS Assist, Plaza Dr., Davita Dialysis, reference to a female unconscious on location. Female regained consciousness upon officer arrival and was transported to the hospital by EMS. All was okay.
  • Citizen Assist, Great Oaks, reference to an unknown male calling 911 in reference to being stuck inside of an elevator.  Officers checked both elevators on location and had no contact with anyone stuck inside.
  • Burglary, Sporty Lane, Neighbor noticed the back door to location on Custom Way broken into around 0700 hours this date. Residence belonged to named subject who was not on location, Officers could not get in contact with resident. CID was notified and processed the scene. Report taken.
  • Property Damage, West Marable St., complainant advised that on 02/11/18, a red Honda backed out of parking spot and struck her vehicle.  Only information she had was the suspect name.  Report taken.
  • Follow Up from above call, West Marable St., complainant advised the owner of the red Honda was next door.  Made contact with the driver of the Honda who was identified.  Spoke to both parties together.  They advised that they handle the incident civilly and wished no criminal charges would be taken.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Plaza Trace, grandmother requested an officer speak to her 16-year-old grandson.  She stated he had been disrespectful.  Grandson was spoken too, and the situation was calmed.  All ok
  • Burglary Report, Michael Circle, complainant advised he came home and found the front window of the residence was busted. No entry was made into the residence and nothing was missing. No leads at this time. Report taken.
  • Burglary Report, North Midland Ave., Contact made with complainant stating while she was in Athens for the weekend, someone had entered her residence and stole some of her prescription medicine. Report taken.
  • Welfare Check, Bold Springs Ave., Complainant wanted police to check on Kasey Heath. Kasey was smoking Marijuana in house with 16-year-old sister. Arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
  • Dispute, Hwy 78 -Truck Stop, reference to complainant said a black male bumped into her vehicle with his body and then demanded her personal information or he would call the police.
  • Dispute, Felker St., dispute over a canine between two subjects.  One subject tried to get away from the dispute in a U-Haul van. Subject said she was hit by the truck while standing in front of it.  Parties separated, and the warrant process was advised.
  • Dispute, Breedlove Dr., Ridgeview Institute in reference to named subject pulled fire alarm and left building. Returned before I arrived.
  • Threats Report, Glenwood, reference to complainant being threatened by named male subject. Complainant stated he just wants male subject to leave him alone, Officers spoke with male subject and advised him to have no further contact with complainant unless it could be civil. Report taken for documentation.
  • Welfare Check, Davis St., Complainant requested a check of female subject.  She was located and stated she was okay.
