Monroe PD Reports: Person woken for ride to work, repossession not possible due to bedbugs

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Nov. 3 – 9, 2017. Due to the length of the report, it has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Domestic Dispute report taken at MPD parking lot, complainant wanted a police report due to her ex-boyfriend following her.
  • Enter auto @ report taken at MPD parking lot, complainant stated sometime over the weekend, an unknown suspect entered her vehicle and stole her daughter’s medications in Skyline Trace apartments. Report taken
  • Suspicious vehicle on Etten Dr. near Etten Crt. in regard to anonymous caller stating black passenger car on location for several days. Area checked w/ negative contact. Unable to get further from caller due to 911 only phone
  • Officer’s called to Stokes St. in regard to caller wanting to advise one of his neighbors has been speeding and requested extra patrol.
  • Enter auto, Walker Dr. Actually, suspicious person complaint in regard to complainant stating she saw male wearing all black near her vehicle but not enter or steal anything. Extra patrol requested.
  • Hit and run on N. Broad St. @ Hwy 78 bridge. Vehicle occupied 2 times with complaint of injury struck by dark colored sedan with unknown tag fled scene. EMS cleared occupants on scene, towed vehicle and report taken.
  • Welfare check, Sporty Lane in regard to Loganville PD checking on female subject due to having a Temporary Protection Order against subject they were out with. All was ok.
  • Shoplifting, Walmart, Management recovered items and wished to have suspects banned from premise. Two subjects served with Criminal Trespass and copies given to Walmart
  • Stopping suspicious vehicle on N. Broad St. @ Tyler St. Vehicle stopped for No Insurance and Suspended Tag. Man fled from vehicle and went running on foot. Driver located and cited. Vehicle towed by towing company.
  • Suspicious person, Chestnut Ln., complainant advised she had been disputing with male subject over cheating in their relationship. Male subject advised things got physical, there were no signs of violence. Report taken.
  • Suspicious person, Walmart in regard to white male wearing camo jacket walking in and out of store. Attempted to make contact with subject and he was gone when officers arrived.  All ok.
  • Suspicious person on E. Church St. near Page St. in regard to man outside residence tapping on residence window. Officer made contact and the subject ran on foot and disappeared in woods. Area checked and two officers’. made contact and Jonathan Gresham was arrested for Loitering and Prowling, disorderly, and Public Intoxication. Gresham cited and transported to Walton County Jail without incident.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Highway 138 & Michael Etchison Rd., Dark gray Dodge Charger driving reckless.  Complainant lost contact at red light.  Patrolled area with negative contact.
  • Meet with Officer, Blaine St., complainant advised she smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle that dropped a 5-year-old off at school. Report taken.
  • Civil Issue, South Broad St., complainant disputing with landlord over rent.  The situation was mediated
  • Civil Issue, Magnolia Terrace, Aarons Rental trying to collect debt. The subject who leased the items has not been making payments.  Aarons unable to take the merchandise due to bed bugs.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring St. (Walmart). Walmart employee thought she saw named female take items from the store and leave without purchasing them. Named female was detained and brought back to Walmart. Walmart had no surveillance of named female stealing items. Named female was sent on her way. All ok.
  • Burglary, Baron Dr., complainant said her school Chromebook was missing from her book bag. Roommate said he heard the front door open/close while taking a shower.  Dell Chromebook II is the only item missing.  Placed on GCIC. Report Taken
  • Entering Auto, East Spring St., two black males on bicycles seen around three cars but only entered one.  No items taken.  Report requested.
  • Theft, South Broad St., complainant advised he laid his book bag in the bushes beside Walmart and when he returned the book bag was gone. He advised the book bag contained his passport and birth certificate.
  • Suspicious Person, East Spring St., two subject that matched the description of earlier entering auto were riding their bikes back through the parking lot. Two subjects advised not to ride through business parking lots.  Information added to earlier report.
  • Child Custody, South Broad St., complainant advised her ex-husband picked their 16-year-old son up without advising her.  Complainant said the school called to check on her son and that’s how she found out he was missing. Complainant has primary custody and the 16-year-old was sent home with mom.
  • Suspicious person, Tractor Supply parking lot. Contact made with Brittnee Gail Bekerman who was waiting on her ex-boyfriend. Bekerman had active warrants out of Pickens County, South Caronlina. Bekerman transported to Walton County Jail.
  • Dispute, West Marable St., Dispute between two subjects.  One subject stated she has been watching the 2-month-old child of other subject until she is able to get her lights turned back on.  First subject stated she owes her $100 for the child care. Mother of child stated she would have the $100.00 on 11/20/2017, and just wanted her child back this evening.  Mother of child is going to stay with her sister at her residence on Lacy St.  Child was returned.to mother MeadowBrook Drive, and first subject was advised of the civil process for the $100.00. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, North Broad Street. Anonymous complainant stated a green van driven by a white female subject struck a street sign on Walton Road. Suspect vehicle left city limits before Officer could make contact. The damaged sign was a pipe flag marker, no damage to the marker.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, W Spring St., complainant stated a white Saab passenger car had a small child inside with no adult present.  Upon arrival there was no Saab vehicle on property.  All ok.
  • Dispute, Mill Creek Way, two subjects were involved in a verbal dispute over the bills. Both parties were advised of remedies and one subject left the scene.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Hwy 138 & City Limits in reference to a blue Ford Explorer unable to maintain its lane.  Officer conducted an area check with negative results.
  • Prowler, Elm Dr., complainant called stating she heard something strike her residence and saw a flashlight near her window. Conducted area check with negative contact with any suspicious activity.
  • Domestic Dispute, Bridgeport Place, grandmother stated her grandson took her cellphone and spit in her face during the ensuing dispute. The grandson attempted to leave the scene as Officers were arriving. The grandson was taken to Clearview Regional for a mental health evaluation. Report taken.
  • Burglary, Wilkins St., Met with complainant who wanted to report her ex-boyfriend came into her house while she was not home today. Complainant denied pressing charges and requested a report, so she could obtain a TPO.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, HWY 78 East. Anonymous complainant stated a gray truck with “Ghost Gray” written on the side was failing to maintain lane, conducted an area check with negative contact.
  • Theft, N Broad St negative on any theft occurring. Store owner advised subjects were drinking beer inside the store after paying for it. Advised store Manager to call while the subjects were still on location.
  • EMS Assist, Applebee’s, reference to a patient having chest pain.  Made contact with male subject who had just been discharged from Clearview Regional.  Male subject didn’t want to return to Marable Manor and wanted to go to the VA Hospital in Atlanta.  Male subject was transported to Clearview to speak to a social worker about his living conditions.
  • Welfare Check, Monroe Motor Inn. Employee was locked inside the front office and could not get out. He was worried something happened to the clerk. Contact was made with the clerk and everything was ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, HWY 78 Eastbound & West Spring St., Traffic stop conducted on the vehicle after caller stated that the vehicle ran off the road. driver was ok and released from the stop with a headlight warning.
  • Officer’s called to Meet With complainant at Clearview Regional. Charlotte Walls was released from Clearview and demanded officers take her home to Gwinnett County. When Officers denied her a ride she began to yell and curse. Charlotte was arrested for disorderly conduct and provided a ride to the WC Jail.
  • Warrant Served, Alcovy St., Quentin Smith with a valid probation violation warrant. Arrested and transported to Walton County Jail.
  • Civil Issue, West Marable St., complainant worried about her boyfriend’s warrant status. Complainant advised of warrant procedures.
  • Fraud, North Broad St., Monroe Utilities employee advised a male and female subject rented a home on Fawnfield Dr.  Male subject owes Monroe Utilities $900, so he was denied utilities.  Monroe Utilities employee said she then found a second lease for that residence for a different female who now has utilities in her name.  However, Fawnfield Properties does not have any lease with the different female’s name on it.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Creekview Dr., Complaint of a white passenger car in front of residence.  Negative contact with described vehicle.
  • Suspicious Person discharging a firearm on Marable Lane. Complainant stating, she heard three-gun shots behind her residence. Complainant threatened by an unknown B/M described to be wearing Blue jeans, Tan shirt, Black hat and Red zip up sweater who took off on foot towards Maple St. An area check was conducted with negative contact.
  • Unknown Problem, Davis St., Reference to a subject calling 911 and advising to send the Police quickly.  On arrival, complainant advised that he was disputing with his nephew, who was gone. All ok.
  • Unconscious Person at South Hammond Drive behind Monroe Motor Inn. Tammy Godwin arrested for Public Drunk.
  • Verbal Dispute, Claywill Circle. complainant verbally disputing with brother. The brother to stay at his dad’s residence for the night. Situation mediated, All ok.
  • Dispute, Eagles Ct., couple having a verbal dispute over child support payments.  Male subject was gone when officers arrived.
  • Civil Matter, W Marable St., caller had questions regarding a private purchase of a vehicle. Remedies advised.
  • Discharging Firearms, Green Street/Carver Dr., Officer heard approx. 9 gunshots while on a call for service listed above. Area was checked with negative findings.
  • Dispute, Peters St., Made contact with two subject’s both extremely intoxicated advised to go to sleep for the evening.
  • Traffic Stop, E Marable St. & Maple Ln., driver pulled over for headlight requirements.  Vehicle impounded, and she was issued multiple citations.
  • Prowler, Norris St., complainant stated he observed flashlights and heard a grinding noise near the water tower. Contact made with SAC employees on location conducting upgrades to wireless service providers. Construction crew will be on site throughout the evening.
  • Pullover / Arrest, Hwy 138 & W Spring St. Daniel Gould pulled over and arrested for DUI.
  • Juveniles Complaint, E Marable Street. Met with mother who wanted me to advise her daughter on the curfew.
  • Officer called to meet with resident, Roosevelt St., complainant calling for the police to wake up named male subject, so he could come pick him up from work. Subject was awakened, and the message was relayed to him.
