Monroe PD Reports: Pregnant woman assaulted, transported to Clearview

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between June 9 – 15, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the second part. Please note and arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Loud Noise Complaint, 4th Street, complainant complaining about the neighbor revving his engine. Subject at the time of the call was actually working on his truck.  Complainant also stated that he does this at night. Complainant was advised to call if he does this after hours.
  • Dispute, South Broad Street, male subject and Lisa Ivey disputing over their granddaughter.  Both cited for Disorderly Conduct.  Mr. Latimore acknowledged and signed his citation while Mrs. Ivey became irate and would not follow instructions or sign her citation.  Mrs. Ivey was arrested.
  • Sexual Assault, West Vine Street, Rockdale Medical staff notified Monroe PD of a sexual assault that occurred.  Due to the current location of the victim the initial report is being handled by Monroe CID.
  • Medical Assist, Monroe Airport, Male subject a sky diving instructor was conducting a high speed landing and misjudged the clearance to the ground.  Witnesses stated subject hit the ground at a high speed causing a severe injury to his right leg.  Subject was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital. He later died.
  • Dispute, Walker Drive, Dispute over property between two people.  Situation mediated.
  • Domestic Dispute, East Tall Oaks Dr., Complainant said her soon to be ex-husband, became irate when she told him she was taking the kids to swim.  Ex-husband kicked a hole in the bedroom door and took complainant keys to her vehicle.  Address return for complainant vehicle came back to a Rockdale County address, BOLO given out.
  • Dispute, Plaza Dr., Dispute over swimmers in the pool area who do not live in the complex.  Property Manager was able to get the swimmers to leave before officer’s arrival.
  • Damage to property, Tanglewood Dr., complainant’s vehicle extremely damaged by Johnny Johnson. Johnson cut multiple wires in vehicle causing extensive damage to where vehicle was no longer drivable. Johnson arrested for Damage to property and Possession of Schedule II narcotics (oxycodone)
  • Juvenile complaint, Storehouse Crt., complainant stated 17-year-old female came onto her front porch and took a stool to sit on. Contact made and stool returned, juvenile’s parents advised of incident and future criminal actions.
  • Dispute, Maple St., complainant under impression she could evict residents since they were served with notice. Complainant was explained she had to wait until everything was finalized and speak w/ WCSO. Resident also advised of options. All ok.
  • Dispute, Stoke St. and Lawrence St. in regards to Quick Recovery recovering vehicle. Quick Recovery had vehicle hooked up and leaving upon arrival. All ok.
  • Fight call, Pine Park St., in regards to brothers on location fighting.  No one on location wanted to speak w/ police and had any information. Christopher Thomas was extremely intoxicated and yelling in street. All residents in area wanted Thomas to go home and Thomas was seen trying to sneak into Apt. on Pine Park St. and was arrested for Disorderly Conduct.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Maple St. in regards to B/M riding blue dirt bike in roadway speeding. Complainant stated motorcycle was on West end of Maple St. Contact made and advised to keep motorcycle off roadway. All ok.
  • Entering auto, Carwood Dr., complainant’s Chrysler 300 was damaged while he was away from residence by possible juveniles who tried to enter vehicle. The passenger side rear door handle was broken and pictures taken. Vehicle was not entered, report taken
  • Found property, Castle Court, complainant stated suspicious bag behind a tree on their property discovered this date and clear bag w/ white pills was inside. Bag was investigated and moisture dissolved what appeared to be ibuprofen in sandwich bag. The duffel bag was filled with automotive tools and complainant advised to hold property since it was abandoned on her property and no identification could be found inside.
  • Animal complaint, Quality Foods in regards to puppies dropped off in parking lot in crate. Puppies were ok, customer advised she would take puppies. All ok.
  • Kidnapping per WCSO that occurred Palmer Dr. and mother that took her kids possibly on way to Nowell St. Contact made on W. Marable St. with mother who took 2YOA and 6 YOA sons from grandparents w/ permission but then grandparents changed mind due to verbal altercation. All ok, juveniles returned to grandparents. Incident was custody dispute and not kidnapping.
  • Assault, King St. Contact made w/ female subject who stated she was held against will from June 6th until today. Possible suspect named. Female subject was questioned about what happened and stated she did not want to talk to police. After further investigation, it was discovered the room was actually in another male subject’s name. Report taken and pending further investigation.
  • Runaway juvenile, Plaza Dr. in regards to 13 YOA female upset that father in ICE custody and being deported so left on foot to be alone. Mother stated daughter has a lot of emotional stuff going on right now and has been very depressed. Mother stated she will wait on filing report and see if daughter returns and was advised to contact me if daughter returns. Daughter returned home, all ok.
  • Suspicious persons on Milledge Ave and E. Church St. in regards to 3 B/M juveniles in backyard of residence. Area checked and spoke to people out on porch in area and negative on anybody out on foot in area.
  • Domestic problem, Lacy St., B/M was dragging B/F by throat down Lacy St. towards Pine Park. Contact made on Pine Park St. where female ran out of residence and Christopher Thomas found hiding inside. Thomas arrested for Agg. Assault, FV-Agg. Battery, Kidnapping, and Agg. Assault of unborn child. Pittman was seen by EMS and transported to Clearview due to severity of injuries. CID was notified and will perform a follow-up. Thomas fingerprinted and taken to Walton County Jail. Warrants to be taken by officer.
  • Drugs, McDonald’s in regards to older Ford truck in parking lot and odor of marijuana coming from vehicle. Truck on location unoccupied, no odor present.
  • Loitering, E. Washington St. in regards to 4 B/M juveniles running in streets and possibly out past curfew. Saw juveniles in street but ran off into darkness behind James Monroe Homes.
  • Domestic problem, Lakeview Dr., complainant supposedly disputing w/ male subject and witnesses in house stated they heard verbal dispute. Complainant had scratch on forehead from dog possibly lying next to her but no signs of physical violence. Report taken.
  • Suspicious person, Mobley Circle in regards to W/M with red hair knocking on doors in area and last seen walking towards Jack Peters. Area checked and contact made on S. Madison Ave. near Davis St. Casey Cox arrested for Public Intox and Possession less than ounce.
  • Suspicious person near Green St., complainant stated unknown person knocked on her door and then walked away. No description of anything given, area checked with negative contact.
  • Arrest/pick up, Cherokee County Jail. Andrew Corriveau arrested for FTA Bench Warrant out of MPD. Corriveau transported to Walton County Jail without incident.
  • Missing Person, Maple Street, and mother reported her son was missing.  After speaking with family, found that mother has memory loss.  Son is in a hospital in Macon Ga and ok.
  • Stolen vehicle, Chestnut Lane, complainant advised he allowed female subject, to use his 2000 Cadillac Deville to visit her Grandfather in the hospital.  Has not returned vehicle, and will not return phone calls.  Complainant heard she was in Athens Clarke County Jail.  Officer confirmed with Athens Clarke, and was advised the 2000 Cadillac Devile is in the jail parking lot with the keys in it.  Information relayed to complainant
  • Damage to property, West Marable Street, complainant reported that an ex-girlfriend came to his residence last date while he was out of town.  A roommate let her in, and she damaged property in his bedroom.  Criminal Trespass warrant TBT by officer.
  • Entering Auto, Highland Terrace, Five vehicles entered on location.  One vehicle had $40 cash, $15 euro, and $30 of Nicaraguan currency missing.
  • Entering Auto, Highland Terrace, Two vehicles entered, with nothing missing.  Owner declined a report
  • Damage to Property, Tyler Street, 2015 Chevrolet Impala damaged by being “keyed”, while complainant was in church.
  • Entering Auto, Monroe Police Department, and complainant reported his 2013 Honda was entered on 06/08/2017 on South Hammond Drive.  Taken was a Fit Bit, a wooden watch with “your’re mine” engraved, and a check book.  A check was written from it and cashed on 06/08/2017
  • Fraud, South Broad Street, complainant advised her child support card that comes from Michigan, was used in Covington Ga today at Hibbett Sports for $197.95.  Report taken.
  • Incidental/Damage to Property, Carver Place, and complainant advised the vehicle in front of her threw something out of the vehicle.  Complainant tried to see what was thrown out, and swerved into a curb on the road.  Report declined.
  • Theft, South Madison Avenue, Subject did not advise name or location, stated a female in a pink shirt stole his wallet, and hung up.  Patrolled South Madison Avenue with negative contact.
