Monroe Police expands school pride with new George Walton Academy SRO cruiser

After recently unveiling a purple-themed patrol vehicle for the Monroe Area High School School Resource Officer, the Monroe Police Department has introduced another custom-designed cruiser—this time for the George Walton Academy School Resource Officer.

The newly wrapped vehicle, assigned to SRO Charlie Mehalick, features the school’s signature red and black colors along with the Bulldogs mascot. The department unveiled the vehicle on social media as students prepare to return for the new school year.

“The Monroe Police Department is proud to introduce our newly wrapped George Walton Academy School Resource Officer vehicle!” the department said in a Facebook post. “This special design represents the strong partnership we share with George Walton Academy and our continued commitment to providing a safe, secure, and positive learning environment for every student, faculty member, and visitor.”

The department added that its School Resource Officers are “more than law enforcement. They are mentors, educators, and trusted members of the school community. We are honored to serve alongside the Bulldogs and look forward to another outstanding school year.”
