| Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts Shop hours: Tuesday – Thursday 11 – 4 | Friday & Saturday 10 – 5 Pre-show jurying process now online for our Regional Juried Show in August  We have changed our pre-show jury process from being a drop-off to being ONLINE …Our Juried Regional Show is an open call to all artists – members and non-members alike. A juried art show is one at which prospective artists will submit their works for review by a panel of jurors. SHOW FEE: $35 for up to three works. Only one application per artist is allowed. Show judge: Tatiana Veneruso, Education Curator of the Steffen Thomas Museum of Art SHOW DATES: Opens: August 25 | Closes: Oct 22 ONLINE submissions for pre-show jurying process due no later than 11:59 pm Saturday, Aug 15 . You can submit anytime between now and August 15 – – see the “PROCEDURE TO ENTER” below. PROCEDURE TO ENTER Read and follow ALL guidelines found HERE Pay your fee HERE After we receive your fee we will email you an online Google Form for you to fill out (include one to three photos per piece) and email back. We must receive BOTH your fee and application by August 15. Works accepted into the show must be dropped off Friday/Saturday, August 21-22 (11 am – 5 pm) Please note that the jurors may choose as appropriate for this show anywhere from zero to all three of the works you submit. The fee is non-refundable. AWARDS/CATEGORIES Cash awards are offered in first, second 2D (this encompasses “flat works” – paintings, mixed media, collage 3D (works that can be viewed from all sides – sculpture, pottery, etc.). Best in Show prize: $300. All the details can be found HERE Art-full Tuesdays coming in September  If you find yourself needing some art experiences for your children, starting Tuesday, September 8, we will offer art classes (approx 45-50 minutes long), starting at noon. Kids will be segmented by age, of course. Our teachers are second-to-none! Your child will love our art classes – includes general art and possibly pottery on a different day. We are hammering out the details now. Our usual ART ASAP (After School Arts Program) also starts in September – Tuesdays late afternoon/early evening. ***Please email Donna to express your interest.
