The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Nov. 12 – 19, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into six parts. This is the fifth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Shoplifting – E Church St. Chevron. In reference to a light skinned male, wearing a black shirt with Bob Marley, and a long ponytail stole merchandise from the business. Subject stole candy from the store. Report taken.
Narcotics – E Spring St. Monroe Motor Inn. In reference to occupants in either room selling narcotics per the complainant. Negative contact with anyone selling narcotics. No contact with any suspicious or illegal activity. All ok.
Agency Assist – Hwy 138 at Chick-Fil-A. Walton County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance on a traffic stop. All ok.
Burglary – Sporty Ln. In reference to the complainant stating that they arrived home to find that it was burglarized. Entry made through the window in a back bedroom. Several items of jewelry, a mossburg shotgun, and video game taken. Scene was processed for fingerprints.
Wanted Person – S Broad St. In reference to a pickup at the Barrow County Detention Center.
Fraud – S. Broad Street. Complainant reported an unknown person stealing her Walmart login and attempting to purchase items in Pennsylvania. Card cancelled before any items purchased or money
Juvenile Complaint – Community Ct.. He was turned over to his mentor per his mother and advised of his court today at 15:45.
Suspicious Vehicle – Highway 11 and Whitney Road. WCSO reported a vehicle driving down the road with a shredded tire.
EMS Assist – Tall Oaks E. In reference to a juvenile possibly hit by a car. It was determined that the juvenile fell and was not hit. Juvenile turned over to parent with very minor injuries.
Wanted Person – Alcovy Street at GA Probation Management. Subject was arrested for an active warrant for probation violation.
Harassment – Ridge Rd. at West Monroe Villas a subject harassing resident’s on location. Subject was gone when officers arrived. Report taken.
Firearms – W Marable St. In reference to the complainant advising that they heard about 3 shots fired at the end of Marable St or the apartments on the other side. Negative contact, the area was checked.
Dispute – Green St. In reference to the complainant stating that a female came into their residence, broke a window and spilled something on their bed. During investigation the window was already broken per complainant. The complainant was advised of the Temporary Protection Order process. Report taken.
Assault – W Spring St. Piedmont Walton. In reference to a male patient stating that he was assaulted 3 days ago. Complainant advised he was assaulted over the weekend at Da Grand. He stated he did not wish a report be made.
Hit and Run – Old Mill Pt In reference to a red Chevy truck vs. black passenger car. Complainant advised the driver hit her brother’s vehicle and ran into the unit next door. Contact was made with driver 1. Report in GEARS.
Suicide Attempt – Forrest Ln. In reference to a 31-year-old male possible overdose. Turned over to EMS.
EMS Assist – McDaniel St. In reference to the complainant’s wife unable to recognize him and refusing to take her medication. Subject took medicine, all ok.
Suspicious Person – Wheel House Ln. In reference to a tall black male wearing a hoodie looking into vehicles. Negative contact with the subject, the area was checked.
EMS Assist – N Broad St. Deer Acres Inn. In reference to a 40-year-old male, purple, and breathing weird per the complainant. Subject possibly overdosed, TOT EMS.
