MPD Reports: Employee fraudulently adds refunds to his debit card, mediation between 6 & 7-year-olds

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 18 – 24, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note that an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Mental Person, Breedlove Dr., reference to male subject running away from the facility. Officer made contact with an employee; she stated they had the male subject and were back in route to the facility. She advised everything was ok.
  • Return to above call, Breedlove Dr., Ridgeview, reference to male subject having injuries and needing medical assistance. He was transported to Piedmont Athens. Report taken.
  • Unknown Problem, South Broad St., Dollar General, officers made contact with male subject standing around the mailboxes at Southside. He stated he had been resting and everything was ok.
  • Damage to Property, Vine St., reference to complainant reporting her vehicle was struck by another vehicle earlier this date on West Spring Street. There was no visible damage to the vehicle. Report declined.
  • Meet with complainant, West Spring St., McDonald’s, reference to complainant wanting an escort to Masters Dr. to retrieve items.
  • Dispute, Birch St., contact made with the female subject who advised no disputes had occurred. All appeared ok.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., Walmart, reference to a female in custody. Walmart canceled before police arrival in reference not prosecuting.
  • Fraud, West Spring St., O’Riley’s Auto Parts, the LP officer advised that an employee has been fraudulently refunding inventory to his debit card. He was arrested and taken to the Walton County Jail. Warrant to be taken for Theft by deception.
  • Warrant Served, Alcovy St., reference to Taylor Blank being on location with a probation warrant. Taylor Blank was placed under arrest and transported to the Walton County Jail without incident. Report taken.
  • Warrant Served, Alcovy St., reference to Charles Davis being on location with an active warrant. Davis was taken into custody and transported to the Jail.
  • Welfare Check, Gatewood Dr., contact was made with the juvenile complainant who advised a 6-year-old and 7-year-old was attempting to fight them. The officer made contact with both of the juvenile’s parents. All juveniles were advised to stay away from the other. All ok.
