MPD Reports: Grafitti sprayed on buildings, warrants served several dispute calls

The City of Monroe reported the following incidents for the period April 18 – 25, 2019. Due to the length, this report has beens split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note and arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Warrant Served – Lexington Rd. – Athens Clarke County Jail in reference to Brandon Yearby being on location with a warrant out of the City of Monroe. Brandon Yearby was placed under arrest and transported to the Walton County Jail. Report taken.
  • Warrant Served – Alcovy St. Bartholomew McCalla on location with an active probation warrant. He was taken into custody and transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Warrant Served – Alcovy St. Julian Baughcum was on location with an active probation warrant. He was taken into custody and transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Dispute – Matthew’s Park. Marable St. 3rd party caller reporting her daughter was involved in a dispute at the park. Contact was made. The two parties were separated and advised of options. All ok.
  • Dispute – W. Marable St. in reference to a subject on location causing issues with his child’s mother. Kendell Smith was unruly and disorderly to the point he had to be arrested and removed from scene to allow officers to complete the call. Jailed on citations.
  • Harassment phone calls – S. Broad St. Subject stated her co-worker’s boyfriend keeps calling the business and harassing the staff. She just wanted the incident to be documented. Report Taken.
  • Follow Up – S. Broad St. – In reference to graffiti sprayed on side of the building. Information added to the previous report.
  • Missing Person – W. Spring St. – In reference to a possible sighting of a missing person from Alabama. Unable to check due to Walmart systems down.
  • Damage to Property – S. Broad St. – In reference to spray paint on side of the building. Report taken.
  • Runaway juvenile – Birch St.  Complainant advised that her son ran away from the residence with his friends wearing black Adidas pants and orange shirt with a frog on it. Placed on GCIC by Walton County Dispatch Center.
  • Theft – N. Broad St. – In reference to $27 being taken off the ground after being dropped by a complainant.
  • Dispute – Ridge Rd. – In reference to Russell Hartley on location with warrant from WCSO. The subject was gone when officers arrived. Warrants to be taken for threats against another subject.
  • Child Custody – S. Broad St.: Complainant wanting to pursue abandonment charges on the mother of his son who has run away yesterday due to mom going to Florida. The complainant has legal custody of Jr.  Advised he could speak to DFACS about other remedies.  The complainant still has not heard from his son since yesterday. Advised CID.
  • Dispute – Boys and Girls Club in reference to complainant out walking and a dog came at her aggressively.  I spoke to the owner and informed him about the leash laws everything is ok on location
  • Dispute – Athens Tech in reference to two individuals who are boyfriend and girlfriend having a verbal argument.  Parties were separated.
  • Wanted person – Quality Foods. The caller stated that a white male was on location and had warrants. Conducted an area check male ran on foot into the woods. Conducted area check was unable to locate.
  • Traffic Stop – Ash St. and Davis St. Kathryn Sears arrested for active Barrow County warrants. Kathryn transported to Windstream and turned over to BCSO.
