MPD Reports: Hit and run in drive-thru lane; male subject arrested for throwing rock at a moving police vehicle

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period March 27, 2026. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

• Dispute – Walker Dr – In reference to the complainant advising his friend was being combative and he wanted her to leave. She was given a courtesy ride to Waffle House.
• Noise Complaint – GW Carver Dr. – In reference to loud music in the area, area was checked with negative contact.
• Civil Dispute – E Church St; Chestnut Cupboard – Complainant called stating large group arguing. Units arrived at the location and the crowd had already dispersed. Few lingering people were asked to leave.
• Fire Assist – Golden Pantry – In reference to a road striper catching fire. Fire was suppressed. Turned over to fire.
• Unknown Law – Perry St – No additional information given, no disturbance was detected in the area.
• Alarm – E. Spring St; City Market- All ok on scene. Alarm Company attempted to cancel the alarm.
• Hit & Run – Highway 138; Chick-Fil-A. In reference to a motor vehicle collision that occurred in the drive-through. The at-fault vehicle left the scene prior to officer arrival. Report taken.
• Disabled Vehicle – West Spring Street at Highway 138 – In reference to a Volkswagen Jetta stopped in the roadway with its flashers on. The area was checked; negative contact.
• Animal Complaint – Maple Street – In reference to a brown K9 running in the area. Animal Control notified.
• Vehicle Accident – Hwy 138 / Starbucks; In reference to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries. GEARS report.
• Follow-Up/Arrest – 140 Blaine Street; Monroe Police Department. In reference to Call #1. The suspect was taken into custody for duty to stop or return to an accident. Report taken.
• Vehicle Unlock – West Spring Street; Walmart – In reference to a Chevrolet Impala with the keys locked inside. The vehicle was unlocked with no damage.
• Vehicle Unlock – West Spring Street; Walmart – In reference to a Toyota Camry with the keys locked inside. The vehicle was unlocked with no damage.
• Dispute – North Broad Street; AL’S Discount Tire – Verbal dispute over rim service. The situation was mediated and parties were separated.
• Vehicle Unlock – Plaza Drive – In reference to a Honda Accord with the keys locked inside. The vehicle was unlocked with no damage.
• Funeral Escort – South Madison Ave / East Spring St – Two Intersections blocked for funeral.
• Vehicle unlock – Fambrough Way – Reference Ford Mustang. Vehicle unlocked, no damage.
• Vehicle unlock – Towler St – Reference Lincoln Navigator. Vehicle unlocked, no damage.
• Fraud – E Washington St; Synovus Bank. In reference to two subject being on location attempting to cash fraudulent checks. Both males were taken into custody for forgery in the third degree. Both males were interviewed by MPD detectives and transported to the Walton County Jail. Report taken.
• Suspicious Person – East Church Street /Pine Park Street – In reference to locating a named subject walking down the street with an active warrant out of Walton County for Felony Violation of probation. He was arrested on the warrant and charged with possession of Sch. ll (Meth). He was taken to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Jail without incident.
• Suspicious Person – 140 Blaine St- Named male was standing in the back parking lot of the PD and purposely threw a large rock, striking a patrol vehicle in motion. Subject was arrested and transported to jail.
• Juvenile problem – Blaine St; Bridge of Ga. In reference to the program director calling about a juvenile acting out with autism. No law enforcement action needed, the juvenile was released to the father without incident.
• Traffic Crash – W Spring St at Home Depot- Two vehicle crash with no injuries. Report in GEARS.
• Traffic Stop/Arrest – West Spring Street / Bankers Blvd – Named subject stopped for a traffic offense. A search of his vehicle found him to be in possession of a schedule I THC pen. He was arrested and turned over the Walton County Jail without incident.
• Burglary In Progress – Carver Place – In reference to a subject banging on the door attempting to make entry. The subject was not attempting to make entry and looking to speak to an adult over an incident that involved juveniles. Remedies advised.
• Violent Domestic – Maple Street – In reference to the caller advising someone was going to die. Upon locating the caller he advised that his uncle beat him up. He declined prosecution. Report taken.
• Hit and Run – Hwy 138 at Zaxby’s- GMC Sierra allegedly struck by older model Ford Expedition. Report in GEARS.
• Private property accident – Pavilion Pkwy (Marshalls) 2 vehicles no injuries, Gears report
• 911 Hang Up – G W Carver Dr – In reference to a 911 hang-up with extensive history. Contact was established with the homeowner who stated that all was ok.
• Damage to Property – Felker St – In reference to complainant reporting damage done to her back fence, potentially caused by tree service workers hired by her neighbor. No cameras or witnesses observed the workers damaging the fence. Case card given, report taken, remedies advised.
• Suspicious person – W Spring St. Walmart; In reference to subject attempting to return a TV purchased online. Civil remedies were advised.
• Other Law – Lakeview Dr: Complainant requesting information in reference to her Sims videogame account. Remedies were advised.
• Fight – Highland Ave @ Broad St – In reference to several juveniles observed fighting on location. Juveniles were turned over to legal guardians.
• Intoxicated Person – Wheelhouse Ln – In reference to complainant’s roommates stating she was acting belligerently. The roommates were advised that it is not illegal to consume alcohol inside one’s residence, unless things become physical/destructive. Remedies were advised to both parties.
• Assist Motorist – Tall Oaks Dr: Vehicle unlocked with no new damage.
• Suicide Threat – Pine Park – In reference to a named female subject contacting emergency services due to her having suicidal ideations. Upon arrival, the subject stated she wanted to seek help and accepted a courtesy transport to Piedmont Walton to do so. She was then transported to Piedmont Walton for help and was turned over to the hospital staff without incident.
• Fight) Green St; In reference to a physical altercation on Green St. Negative contact on location.
• Dispute – Pine Park – In reference to an open 911 line, with dispatch overhearing what was a verbal dispute. Upon arrival, contact was made with the homeowner of the listed residence, and she advised that everything was under control. All appeared ok.
• Business Alarm – E Spring – All doors and windows appear secure, all OK.
• Business Alarm – W Spring – All doors and windows appear to be secured. Contact was made with the keyholder, and business was cleared, all
 okay.
• Loud Music – Davis St – In reference to a nearby resident calling in loud music from Davis St. Contact was made with the “party,” and they were advised to lower the volume.
• Burglary – Cook Place – In reference to subject forcefully entering the residence of complainant, stealing debit cards and her driver license. Warrants taken.
• Residential Alarm – Fleeting Ct- In reference to an accidental alarm activation by the homeowners. Everything okay.
• Disturbing The Peace – Davis St – In reference to a nearby resident calling in loud music from Davis St. Contact was made with the “party,” and they were advised to lower the volume one last time.
• Loud Music – West Fambrough Street- In reference to loud music being played in the area. Area checked, no music was heard.
• Dispute – Knight Street – In reference to a dispute between two subjects. An accusation of a physical assault by one on the other was made however charges were not taken on the subject due to a lack of probable cause. Incident was documented and civil remedies were advised to the second subject.
• Suspicious Vehicles/Persons – Chestnut Cupboard – In reference to a passerby calling emergency services stating vehicles were blocking the entrance to the Chestnut Cupboard. Upon arrival, contact was made with the establishment’s owner, who stated he wanted everyone gone. Eventually, everyone did leave, all okay.
• Signal 37 – Lawrence St – In reference to an open 911 line on “Lawrence St.” Listed numerics given by dispatch do not exist on Lawrence St. Lawrence St and surrounding streets were patrolled with no disturbances located.
• Unsecured Vehicle – Masters Drive- Vehicle left unsecured in the driveway. Contact was made with the home owner. Everything okay. The vehicle was left open by mistake.
• Dispute – Harris St. – In reference to a female subject getting into a verbal argument with her nephew. Remedies were advised to the complainant, the nephew was gone when officers arrived. Report taken.
• Roadway Obstruction – Highway 78 EB / Highway 138 – In reference to a subject pulling a mattress on the side of the highway. The mattress came off his trailer on the way to the dump.
• Theft report – East Church St – Chevron; In reference to complainant reporting his iPhone 17 stolen the day prior. Video footage showed subject grabbing a Dollar General bag but no phone from inside the store. No serial number could be provided at the time of the report. Report taken.
• Alarm – Holly Hill Road – Exterior of residence checked, all secure.
• Alarm – S. Broad St – Accidental activation, all ok on scene.
• Follow Up – Felker Street – In reference to another case. The homeowner called back because the tree service company was back on location. Supplemental added.
