MPD Reports: Juvenile complains to police about father disciplining him for getting into trouble in school

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period March 13 – 19, 2026. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

• 911 Hang Up – E Washington St. – In reference to subject attempting to call for an ambulance. Subject was not experiencing a medical crisis at the time, and was home with a healthcare provider. Subject advised he no longer needed an ambulance.
• Civil Issue – E Spring St – Taylor’s Wrecker – In reference to complainant’s box truck towed by Taylor’s from a mechanic shop in Loganville. Civil remedies advised.
• Alarm – Kings Ridge Drive – All doors and windows appeared secure.

• Private Property Crash – W Spring St.; Piedmont Walton – Two-vehicle crash with no injuries.
• 911 Hang Up – Booth Dr at Morrow St – Verbal argument between pedestrians on N Broad Street. Situation mediated.
• Other law – W Spring & Hwy 138- Traffic light not cycling for turning lane. All ok.
• Funeral escort – 78 E- assist with intersections for county.
• Civil Issue – S Broad St. – In reference to subject on location repossessing a trailer from another subject. An unrelated vehicle had been loaded onto the trailer. Contact was made with the owner, who advised he understood and would come remove the vehicle from the trailer. All okay.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Downtown – Semi downtown causing traffic to back up. Semi was gone upon arrival.
• Traffic Crash – Highway 138 at Pavilion Pkwy- Two vehicle crash with no injuries. Report in GEARS.
• Civil Issue – Knight St – In reference to subject calling about questions with eviction and civil process. Civil remedies advised.
• Welfare – Tanglewood Dr – All is okay.
• Traffic Stop/ Arrest – Hwy 138 at Dunkin Donuts- Vehicle stopped for seatbelt violation. The driver provided a false name and date of birth, and was also wanted out of Newton County and Cobb County. The subject was taken into custody, and taken to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office jail without incident.
• Dispute – Knight St – In reference to a dispute over a child. Due to conflicting stories no charges were taken. Report made.
• Vehicle Crash – Vine St at S Madison Ave – Two vehicle crash. One subject was transported to Piedmont Walton with non-life threatening injuries. See GEARS.
• Damage to Property – Jax Apartments- In reference to a rock striking the complainant’s windshield. SR-13 issued.
• Alarm – Overlook Crest – Cancelled by Alarm Company.
• Fraud – East Marable Street – In reference to the complainant receiving a check that she did not cash. Remedies were advised. All ok.
• Alarm – N Broad St; Britt’s – All doors secured, all okay on location.
• Lost Item – 140 Blaine St; Monroe PD – In reference to complainant wishing to report his phone missing after he misplaced it in Walmart of Monroe. Report taken
• Civil Issue – Lacy St – Complainant needed information of eviction process.
• Juvenile Complaint – Booth Dr – In reference to juvenile being upset after being disciplined by his father for getting in trouble at school. All ok on location.
• Traffic Stop/DUI Arrest – McDaniel St/Michael Etchison Rd – In reference to a named subject stopped for a Speed violation. He was found to be under the influence of Alcohol and placed under arrest for DUI Less Safe. He was turned over to Deputies at the Walton County Jail without incident.
• Traffic Accident with Injuries – Hwy 11 N / Charlotte Rowell Blvd – In reference to a two vehicle accident between two Honda Civics. One party had complaints of injuries and was taken from the scene by Walton County EMS to Piedmont Walton. One driver was found to be driving without a valid license and was taken into custody. He was fingerprinted at the Police Department and released on copy of citations. Vehicles removed from Roadway by Taylor’s Wrecker Service. GEARS report completed.
• Civil Dispute – Tanglewood Dr – Complainant stated his girlfriend sent him a text message. She was arrested this past Sunday for battery. He is not aware of any special condition of bond and wants to let her back into the home. He was advised on remedies.
• Suspicious Person – Classic Trail – Complainant advised unknown male knocking on her door. Male then got into his vehicle and left. Traffic stop conducted on the vehicle in the neighborhood. Male advised he was looking for his girlfriend. Spoke with the complainant by telephone who stated she recently moved in. I advised the male that whoever he thought lived there had moved and he scared the new residents. He understood and apologized.
• Suicide Attempt – Breedlove Dr; Ridgeview – In reference to a 12-year-old Female taking multiple pills. Turned over to EMS
• Suspicious Person – W.Spring St – Reference report of unknown person going through mailboxes while walking towards downtown. Contact was made with a subject behind the library. No evidence of subject committing theft of mail was found at this time. Subject was warned of Loitering laws prior to departure.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Wheel House Ln – In reference to a Audi A3 parking in front of the driveway blocking several vehicles. Vehicle towed by Taylors Wrecker Service.
