The City of Monroe reported the following incidents for the period April 18 – 25, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
- Dispute – Deer Acres in reference to a verbal dispute between boyfriend and girlfriend. The situation was mediated.
- Identity Theft – Fawnfield Dr. Complainant advised after running her credit she found items on her credit that did not belong to her. Report taken.
- Assault – W. Spring St. – In reference to Tamieka Harris going to Walmart and assaulting a subject. Warrant to be taken for battery.
- Damage To Property – Ridge Rd – In reference to a rock thrown at vehicle window of complainant shattering glass.
- Damage to Property – S. Broad St.: Fence was tagged but appears old. Business is closed. Attempted to make contact with Andre Ansley who is the business owner. Negative contact. The business does have working security cameras.
- Suspicious Person – Pine Cir. / Pinecrest Dr. – In reference to subject collecting cans in yards on Pinecrest Dr. subject advised to stay put of peoples’ yards.
- Suspicious Vehicle – Towler St. Complainant who is a resident stated a vehicle has been driving recklessly. Spoke to the owner and resolved the situation.
- Dispute – S. Broad St.: Joshua Currie arrested for simple battery, family violence after pinning individual down on the ground by her wrists after a dispute. Michael Hancock also arrested for disorderly conduct after lying about his name and obstructing a police investigation.
- Criminal Trespass – Old Mill Point: two juveniles arrested and released to parents after kicking in the door to a unit. Juvenile complaints completed for both at the request of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
- Dispute – Gatewood Way: Complainant upset because her grandson is intoxicated, and the person who brought him home drove drunk. Subject left on foot and possibly got a ride from someone before the officers arrived. Subjects’ vehicle was left in the roadway and was towed to Jays.
- Criminal Trespass – Wheel House Lane: Complainant stated that she had 4 juveniles around apartment Old Mill Point. 2 were coming out of the back window. Report Taken.
