The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period March 14 – 20, 2025. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
- Vehicle Accident – Charlotte Rowell Blvd @ Pavilion Pkwy- Two vehicle accident with injuries, GEARs report completed.
- Suspicious Person – W Spring St; Waffle House- Subject on location for 2 days without ability to pay for food and refusing to leave. The subject was escorted off the property without incident.
- Damage to Property – MPD- Subject reported his vehicle was side swiped a week ago, but did not know where it occurred.
- Accident – Unisia Drive; Walmart- Reference to a two vehicle private property accident that occurred yesterday. Report taken.
- Damage to Property – S Broad- Reference to the complainant’s vehicle being damaged sometime within the past few weeks at an unknown location.
- Illegal parking – Lumpkin St @ East Highland; In reference to a black truck not in a parking spot on private property. Vehicle was gone when officers arrived
- Drugs – E Church Street/S Madison- Reference to the complainant finding a glass pipe, commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics. Pipe was collected, destroyed, and then disposed of.
- Accident – W. Spring St; Taco Bell- Both parties declined to report prior to officer arrival.
- Accident – E Spring St/S Madison- Two vehicle accident with no injuries. Report in Gears.
- Dispute – G.W Carver Dr; – In reference to a fight that occurred prior to officers arrival, contact was made with the juvenile complaint’s mother who was advised of remedies.
- Accident – Hwy 138 @ Checkers- Two vehicle accident with injury by complaint, GEARs report completed.
- Damage to Property – Walton St- Complainant reported his fountain was damaged in his back yard.
- Juvenile Complaint – S Broad St- Reference to a 11-year-old refusing to get in mothers vehicle. Situation mediated.
- Intoxicated Person – Monroe Motor Inn- Female on location intoxicated and refusing to leave. Female was turned over to EMS.
- Hit and Run – McDaniel St- Reference to a Ford vehicle hitting a mailbox. Report taken.
- Fire Assist – Hwy 78/Unisia Dr- Reference to a brush fire in the median on Highway 78. Turned over to Monroe Fire.
- Juvenile Arrest/transport – Blaine Street, MPD- In reference to a juvenile being brought to the PD by his mother to turn himself in due to him having active arrest warrants. He was taken into custody and transported to the RYDC without incident.
- Welfare Check – Stonecreek Bend – In reference to the son unable to make contact with his mother. Voice contact was made through the door however, she would not open the door. Remedies advised.
- Cyber Crime – Atha St. In reference to complainant reporting a pornographic video of her being posted on Twitter without her permission by her suspected ex-boyfriend on January 6th, 2025. Report taken.
- Suspicious Vehicle – Stewart Ct – In reference to a Gray Volkswagen parked across the complainant’s residence for the past two days. An attempt was made with the registered owner to retrieve their vehicle.
- Mental Patient – E Fambrough St – In reference to the complainant advising her son was having a mental episode. Complainant advised that she would take her son to the hospital and no longer needed assistance from Law Enforcement.
- Criminal trespass – 6th St. In reference to a named subject being on location after WCSO served him with an eviction. He was fingerprinted and transported to WCSO for criminal trespass. Report taken.
- Juvenile Complaint – GW Carver – Juvenile called 911 and advised they were told to call back either this date. No apartment was provided, and there was negative contact with the caller.
- Damage to Property – MLK Jr. Blvd (Longhorns) Vehicle was hit by another vehicle in the back parking lot. The vehicle that struck the complainant’s vehicle was gone from the location.
- Wanted Person – Pavilion Parkway; Planet Fitness – In reference to observing a male subject walking towards Planet Fitness with an active Probation Violation warrant out of Dooly County. He was arrested and transported to WCSO jail without incident.
- Unknown Law – GW Carver Dr- In reference to a 911 call with yelling in the background. No answer on the call back. The residence listed was found to be abandoned. The area was checked, negative contact.
- Loud Music – Ash St & E Church St – Party was advised to lower music.
- Warrant Service – Alcovy Street – Male subject located with an active Felony VOP out of Barrow County. He was placed under arrest and transported to WCSO Jail without incident.
- Fight – N Midland Ave – In reference to the complainant advising two males were physically fighting and intoxicated. Both subjects were gone prior to the Officer’s arrival.
- Burglary in Progress – E Washington St – In reference to the complainant advising she could hear what sounded like someone kicking a back door neighboring her apartment. The area was checked, and negative contact was made. No signs of forced entry were observed.
- Warrant Service – Hwy 78, Stadium Lounge- In reference to a named subject on location. He had an active arrest warrant. He was taken into custody and transported to WCSO without incident.
- Suspicious Vehicle – MLK Blvd; Valero. In reference to an unoccupied vehicle on location. The vehicle was not reported stolen.
- Suspicious Person – North Broad Street – In reference to a male subject operating a bike on the wrong side of the road with no working lights. Verbal warning.
