MPD Reports: Variety of civil issue between people; juvenile using curse words around other children; hit and run

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period March 20 – 26, 2026. Due to the length, this report has been split into three parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

• Suspicious Persons – Old Mill Pt – Juveniles playing doorbell ditch. I located the juveniles on Wheel House Ln. The juveniles went inside for the night.
• Fight – E Church St; Chestnut Cupboard – Complainant stated large fight with shots fired. Arrived on scene to find roughly 200 people in the parking lot. The crowd was disbursed, no reports of anyone fighting or shots being fired. The owner of the store was advised of violations for allowing large gatherings on his property.
• DOA – Turner St – Response delayed due to previous call – In reference to subject on location who was deceased, Turned over to Walton County Coroner.
• Alarm – MLK Jr. Blvd – All okay on location.

• Alarm – Pavilion Pkwy; Piedmont Urgent Care – All doors/windows secured.
• Juvenile Complaint – Felker Park – In reference to a juvenile using curse words around other children. The complainant advised the situation was resolved by a referee prior to Officer arrival.
• Suspicious Person – Named subject was stopped for walking in the middle of the roadway. He failed to comply with multiple verbal commands and actively resisted arrest. He was taken into custody for obstruction and pedestrian in the roadway.
• Suspicious Person – Edwards St at Bryant Rd. – In reference to a female vomiting in the roadway. Female was suffering from IBS. All okay.
• Damage to Property – Springer Lane – In reference to a neighbor backing over the complainant’s daughter’s scooter. Remedies advised.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Wellington Dr. – In reference to an unknown subject parked near the complainant’s residence. Contact was made with subject, who explained his vehicle had overheated and he had stopped in the shade to let it cool down. All okay.
• MVC – W Spring St. & MLK Jr. Blvd. – Two-vehicle crash with no injuries. GEARS report.
• MVC – S Madison Ave. & E Church St. – 2 Vehicle accident. GEARS report completed.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 83 & Unisia Dr. – In reference to a red truck driving recklessly with no license plate displayed. Contact was made with the vehicle and reckless driving was not observed. A traffic stop was conducted for no tag displayed. The vehicle had been purchased three days prior and the driver had all proper paperwork in hand. No further action taken.
• Vehicle Unlock – Pavilion Parkway Planet Fitness – Vehicle unlocked no damage.
• Hit and Run – W Spring St; Remedy Ink Tattoo – In reference to a Toyota Corolla hitting the complainant in the Walmart parking lot and advising the complainant to give them money. The vehicle was gone when officers arrived. Report taken.
• Area Check – W Spring St; Home Depot – Area check on foot all okay.
• Disturbing the Peace – W Marable St – In reference to vehicles spinning tires and driving recklessly through the area. Negative contact with vehicles.
• Civil Dispute – Wheel House Ln – Complainant advised her roommate has been on a 3-day bender and causing issues. The roommate has only lived there for a week. I attempted to talk to the roommate who was in her bedroom but she refused to open the door. I advised her to leave the others alone. I advised the complainant to speak to the landlord (rents each room out on a monthly basis) about solutions. Report completed.
• Civil Issue – Masters Dr – In reference to a verbal dispute between parties regarding issues with their breakup. Parties separated for the night.
• Suspicious Person – MLK Jr Blvd; Tractor Supply – In reference to an employee on location stocking. All okay.
• Threats – Nowell St – In reference to complainant advising that her ex-boyfriend was texting her stating he was in front of her house. No suspicious vehicles/persons were located in the area. Complainant was advised of the TPO process.
