The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Nov. 19 – 26, 2020. Due to the length, this has been split into four parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
EMS Assist – Taylor Street (First A&B Church) Male subject on the ground bleeding from the head. Turned over to EMS.
EMS Assist – West Spring Street (Elite Storage) -Employees on location called due to subject on location seemingly confused. Subject checked by EMS, all okay.
Damage to Property – Great Oaks Dr. In reference to a hand truck damaging the complainant’s vehicle. Mrs. Tiffany Manuel wanted the incident to be documented. Report made.
Suspicious Vehicle -Charlotte Rowell Blvd/Hwy 11 Caller advised a vehicle was driving recklessly, passing on double yellow and running red lights. Negative contact with that vehicle. Returned to service.
Statutory Rape – South Broad Street -Complainant called in reference to just learning her granddaughter was having sexual encounters with a 19-year-old male subject when she was underage. Report taken
Theft – Sussie Wings Complainant claimed that subject stole her EBT card and left their residence with it. Subject gave complainant back the EBT card. Complainant did not want to press charges or a report done.
Other Law -West Spring Street in reference to employee found needles in a trailer. The needles were brand new and has not been used. The needles were disposed of.
Suspicious Person – West Spring St -Anonymous complainant stated a male subject and two female subjects were on location asking if they registered to vote.
Theft Report – Magnolia Ter – Complainant reporting three solar lights were taken from her yard and a broke car door handle. Report taken
Suspicious Person – W Spring St – In reference to people registering voters in front of Dollar Tree. All OK.
Theft Report – E Spring St – Reference to reports of a clothing cart ($150 value) being taken by two females on 11/19/2020 at approximately 0200 hrs. Subject was identified through security footage and her Drivers’ License Picture. Owner of Laundry mat could not be reached to determine if charges would be pressed.
Firearms – Green St – In reference to several gun shots, area checked, no contact.
Other Law – W Spring St – In reference to a manhole cover falling through. Public works contacted and lid was put back in place.
Suspicious Vehicle – Tyler St. In reference to suspicious vehicle on location. Driver pulled over to use phone in accordance with Georgia distracted driving law.
Dispute – Bridgeport Ln – Subject on location and people there did not want him there. Subject was criminal trespass from this location.
Dispute – Sherwood Dr – Subject on location. His mother did not want him on location because of court order. Subject sent on his way.
Suspicious Person – W Spring St – Subject on location drunk and harassing employees after hours. Subject had a warrant out of Senoia Police Department and was transported to Walton County Jail.
Agency assist/rolling domestic dispute – HW78WB. Ref to Oconee County Sheriff’s Office out with a female that jumped out of a vehicle, and the vehicle was headed to the city. Area searched with negative contact.
Animal Complaint – Masters Drive. Runner bit by loose dog. Dog turned over to animal control by dog owner. Victim suffered very minor injuries, dispatched as uncontrolled bleeding. Turned over to animal control.
Fraud – East Spring St., Taylor’s Wreaker. Ref to a male writing three checks from an account that does not exist. Warrants to be taken on subject.
Trailer inspection – South Broad St., Southside MHP. Complainant could not find serial number. They advised they would call back when able to.
Other Law – East Marable St. Ref to a subject wanting to retrieve left property at the location. She received her stuff. All ok.
Dispute – Ash St. Subject asking more questions about his ex-wife arriving and taking the kids. She was not/nor had she been on location yet. Remedies were advised.
Juvenile problem – South Broad St., Southside MHP. Ref to an unruly juvenile. Juvenile complaint signed.
