The long-awaited opening of the Silver Queen is finally almost here. This week has seen a soft opening of the restaurant in advance of the Monday, March 2 official opening to the public according to the restaurant’s Facebook page.
With the Silver Queen food truck, catering, and last year’s win of the inaugural Battle of the Burgers, many have already had the opportunity to taste the items prepared by Silver Queen’s chef Wes Kent. According to the description of the new restaurant on its Facebook page, “Silver Queen is a dream child of a few homegrown Monroe friends. The dream: to bring awesome tacos and Mexican food in an artfully created space. Enjoy crafted cocktails, patio seating, and a playground for the littlest taco fans!”
