Obituary and funeral arrangements: Bobbie F. Miller

In the early morning hours of June 22, 2017 Bobbie F. Miller passed on to her heavenly reward, her eternal rest, safe in the arms of Jesus.

Bobbie Faye (Castleberry) Miller was born in Talladega, Alabama, August 7, 1936, to Jesse Edward and Leona Minnie Chappel Castleberry. She was a graduate of Talladega High School and after graduation went to Toccoa Falls Institute (TFI), where she graduated 1958 and stayed to work in the office, serving as administrative assistant to Dr. Kelly Barnes. Marshall Forress Miller married Bobbie in November of 1964, after meeting her the previous summer. In addition to working at the office at TFI she worked at banks in Toccoa and Stow, Ohio. After getting an education degree from Kent State University she taught kindergarten and other elementary grades for almost forty years at Chapel Hill Christian School, DeKalb Christian Academy, Providence Christian Academy and continued to work part time at Faith Academy in Loganville. Teaching, encouraging and molding young lives was very rewarding to her as was her involvement in churches in Alabama, Ohio, and Georgia, especially the adult Sunday School classes at Summit Baptist Church in Loganville. The joys of her life were her marriage to Marshall Forress Miller, her son Kevin and his family – wife Renee, granddaughters Callie and Cassie and son Kyle and his family – wife Elizabeth, grandson Max and granddaughters Sarah and Caroline. She is survived by her sister Patricia Anne Hendricks and brother Edward Earl Castleberry. Her sister Martha Raye and brother-in-law William Parks preceded her in death. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and the countless students she taught over her life will mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be Sunday, June 25, at 4:00 p.m. at Summit Baptist Church, 3080 Highway 81 S, Loganville, Georgia, Pastor Jason Rothe officiating.
