Obituary and funeral arrangements: Robert Donald Smith, 77, of Loganville

Mr. Robert Donald Smith, age 77 of Loganville, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Gum Creek Baptist Church. Dr. David C. Moody will officiate. Interment will follow at Gum Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Smith was saved in 1965 and was baptized by Robert Murrell. He was a member of Almon Baptist Church in Covington, but also attended Gum Creek Baptist Church among various other churches. He was a devout Christian and enjoyed visiting churches and revivals all over Georgia. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Hildreth & Cleo Smith, his brother, James Franklin Smith, and his brother-in-law, Earnest “Bud” Brown. He is survived by his Sister: Betty Brown of Loganville; Sister-in-law: Yoshiko Smith of Stafford, VA; Aunt & Uncle: Frankie & Hudson Moody of Covington; Nieces & Nephews: Steven Brown of Loganville; Michael & Michelle Brown of Loganville; Todd & Anita Brown of Loganville; Pamela & Jeff Robertson of Loganville; Michael & Suzanne Smith of Ashburn, VA; Jimmy & Janelle Smith of Stafford, VA; 8 Great Nieces and Nephews and a host of Cousins.
